"The Queen Luna has something similar to this." He admitted.

My eyes widened. "She does?"

He nodded. "Though it’s a different colour, I still recognize the intricate designs of the bracelet she had on at the bells party."

"Why would she have something like this?" Cyrus asked curiously.

"I have no idea," Askhan admitted, "But it has to be some kind of indication of what we’re getting at."

Haelor let out a hum. "Crystals of this shape and form are commonly seen at the border in various colours. They’re often used as an object of trade between vampires and werewolves."

"So much for being from her daughter’s boyfriend." Cyrus scoffed.

I remained silent, processing all this new information that I’d somehow gotten. The Queen Luna had something similar to this, and it was apparently something that was frequently traded at the borders.

What could all this mean?

Arthur’s eyes lingered on me for quite some time. He finally let out a helpless shrug.

"The little princess is from the richest family. It seems we’ll need to go to the border." He said.

"Yes, I doubt we have much of a choice in that." Haelor added.

Arthur nodded. "In any case, we have to be careful not to alert that stupid woman in your family."

"Aunt Niamh?" I wondered.

He nodded his head. Cyrus seemed to be in silent agreement of that. He kept looking at the picture, unable to turn away from it despite us already coming to a conclusion.

I didn’t like the ominous feeling I was getting by staring at that picture. It sent a shiver down my spine just focusing on the crystal. I quickly turned away.

"I think it’ll be better to have one of your brothers on standby, just in case she tries to do something reckless." Arthur explained.

"I think that’ll be for the best," I added, "We know how unpredictable Aunt Niamh can be."

Cyrus seemed to agree with me as well, nodding his head in agreement of what I was saying.

"We’d also need some backup in case things start to get out of hand." Haelor noted.

"I’ll accompany Giselle."

The words had come from none other than Froste.

The whole room fell into a deafening silence. It seemed like everyone had held their breaths for a brief moment. Froste had a look of conviction in his eyes as he stared at me.

I didn’t need to hear him talk before I knew what his eyes were saying.

It doesn’t matter where you want me to go. I’d follow you to the ends of the earth if I have to.

It was hard convincing myself that I wasn’t moved by the intensity of his words and actions. He was ready to do whatever it took to help me with this curse, even offering to follow me on this incognito trip.

Askhan was the first to break the silence. "Like hell I’m going to let that happen."

"It’s not a matter for you to decide," Froste answered calmly, "It’s up to Giselle if she wants me there or not?"

"Oh?" Askhan cocked his head to the side. "Getting cocky now, are we? What, you think just because we let you here, it means you can just run your mouth however you please?"
