Blair looked livid. He slowly got up and turned to his men. With a small gesture of his head, the men made their way to Caroline and her friends.
“Hey!” Caroline yelled in protest as the men grabbed her, preventing her from moving.
One of them grabbed the stick they’d used to beat me up. Before anyone could react, they began beating the hell out of them. I bit my lip as I saw one of them holding up Caroline’s phone.
Everything that was happening was being live streamed. I never thought karma existed until today. It was hard to believe what my eyes were seeing.
“Froste.” Caroline cried out, just as they hit her across the face again.
Froste shoved Blair against the chest, a look of anger in his eyes. “How dare you come here and think you can do this? This is nothing but cruel. You have no right to treat my secretary in such a way.”
“Actually we do.” One of the men stepped forward.
He had glasses on as he went through his computer. He handed it to Froste who began going through it. The farther down he went, the more his face became grin.
The man began to speak. “Caroline here used to be a prostitute. In university, when she saw that her grades weren’t even up to mediocre level, she bribed the president of the university in order to get her degree. That was what she used to get into Galaxy Pack.”
Froste had a look of horror on his face. He was finding it hard to keep up with all the new information he was hearing. He turned to Caroline in disgust. It was hard to deny all the information he’d just heard and seen.
Caroline was shaking her head, as tears flowed freely down her cheeks. Unbelievable. It was hard believing all I was hearing.
I coughed out some more blood. It felt like my lungs were on fire. Everything was starting to feel woozy and I was getting the bad feeling that I was going to pass out.
“We don’t have time for this. We have to get to a hospital for treatment.” Blair sighed, making his way back to me.
Before I could even protest, he swooped me off the ground, carrying me bridal style. All my body hurt so bad, I wanted to cry.
“Wait.” Froste protested, trying to stop Blair.
The man with glasses held a hand to stop Froste. “If I were you, I’d investigate who ordered Caroline to do all this.”
I nodded my head at his words. I turned my face to the side, staring at the clouds. I’d never been in a helicopter before. Letting out a breath, I turned back to him.
“I have five brothers?” I asked, the words still sounding foreign in my head.
“Yes, you have five brothers, princess.” He said with a small smile.
“You’re the youngest in the family and the only girl. You went missing when you were twelve years old. Your family has been trying to find you since then all to no avail. Well, until today that is.”
I remained silent as I processed all he was saying. I went missing? If what he was saying was true, then why couldn’t I remember anything? The more I thought about it, the more I felt frustrated.
“I—”
Whatever I was going to say was replaced by another groan of pain. Blair’s face tightened as he realized how much pain I was in.
“You don’t need to say anything more, princess. Let’s focus on getting you some medical attention first.”
