I could feel all the pain that had threatened to send me over the edge start to subside. It felt good to be able to feel this kind of relief.

“How do you feel now?” Olavir leaned closer to me.

“Much better.” I smiled at him. Truthfully, I could feel most of the pain already leaving my body.

“I’m glad to hear that. We wouldn’t want anything happening to you, now would we?” He smiled at me.

“Who were you on the phone with back then?” I asked. “I hope I’m not causing you any trouble.”

The smile dropped from his face. “Oh, no. It’s not that. It’s…actually our brothers.”

“Our brothers?”

He nodded his head. “They wanted to come here and visit you but I told them you need to rest. You’ll get the chance to see them later.”

“Oh.”

“Besides,” he continued, “We need to deal with Galaxy Pack. This isn’t over just yet.”

I felt my anger rising at the mention of that pack. They’d hurt me and humiliated me in the worst way possible.

“I want to know who sent that secretary to hurt me. I want to make them all pay for what they did.” I stared straight at my brother.

“And you will. In the meantime, you need to get some rest. Your health is the most important thing here.”

I nodded my head, relaxing back into my pillow and shutting my eyes. Everything had more or less being a whirlwind of events and all I wanted to do was to get some sleep.

“I’ve got the best doctors here, Giselle.” I opened my eyes.

“They’ll take care of you and make sure you recover as quickly as possible.”

“Thank you.” I said to him, just as my eyes fluttered close.

I could feel the warmth coming from him as he sat next to my bed. Was this what having a family felt like? I didn’t know much about Olavir yet, but if this was what having a family was like, then I would gladly welcome it.

He pushed her away without remorse and she stumbled down to the ground. He glared at her angrily, still standing in front of me.

“If you so much as lay a hand on her, I’ll have your head on a spike.”

That wasn’t just a threat. I could tell by the coldness of his tone. Olavir would make do on it if provoked.

Hedy wasn’t fazed still. She began to cry and roll on the ground. She was causing a scene but that didn’t bother her at all.

“You. You don’t even have a wolf. You don’t deserve to be our Luna.” She shook her head.

“And lying about having a brother?” She clicked her tongue. “He must be one of your former customers back in your days of whoring around.”

Olavir moved towards her but I grabbed his hand. He turned to me, his face twisted anger. I shook my head. I didn’t want to give her what she wanted.

My mind went back to how the secretary had been so abusive. If anything, Hedy must know something about it.

“Did you get the secretary to set me up?” I narrowed my eyes on her.
