Hedy stared straight at me, a slow fire burning in her eyes. She wasn’t going to back down so easily.
Her silence was enough of an answer. It was all true. She’d done this to me. And these men were enough proof.
I stared at the woman in front of me for what felt like eternity. I couldn’t believe it. All this time, I’d been trying so hard. I did the best I could. I put in all the effort. I really did try my best. I put in a lot of effort too.
Ever since I married Froste, I’d tried so hard to fit in. I’d done all I could and did my best to fulfill my duties as the Luna at all. Anything at all if it meant they would finally accept me into the pack. So where did I go wrong?
“Have you always hated me this much? Even after everything I’ve done for the pack?” My voice cracked as I tried to hold back my tears.
“Everything?” Hedy cackled. “You did absolutely nothing for Galaxy Pack. All you’ve done is bring disgrace and humiliation to our mighty pack. I can’t believe my son decided to get mated to someone like you.”
I’d always known she didn’t like me but this, this was nothing short of hatred. I stepped back a little and bumped into Olavir’s broad chest. He had a look of worry on his face as he stared at me.
He turned to look at Hedy and a look of anger came over his face. He was livid at the fact that Hedy had come in here and tried to wreak havoc and commotion.
“I want her thrown out of this building.” He ordered.
“Yes sir.” Blair nodded his head and turned to Hedy.
He grabbed her roughly and began dragging her away from the room. She tried to fight out of his grip but she was no match for Blair’s strength.
“You useless, pathetic mutt. It wasn’t just me.”
“What?” I found myself unable to look away from her.
“You think Froste loves you?” She let out a mocking laugh. “Do you think I'm running all this by myself? Froste was in on it.”
I felt my heart stop at what she said. Froste was in on it too? He’d known all his mother was doing all this time and he did absolutely nothing about it.
“He knew all that was happening too. He was in on it.” She laughed.
Blair was able to drag her away before she said anything else. But the damage had already been done. I kept staring into the wall, her words echoing in my head like a broken record.
“Giselle.” Olavir called out my name.

“There you go.” The doctor threw away the syringe. He turned to me, a small smile on his face.
“Thank you, doctor.” I tried to smile.
I was done with the second dosage of the moon potion. It was working wonders on my body and I felt like I was back to normal.
Just as the doctor left, the door swung open with a lot of force. I felt my breath hitch in my throat.
Froste walked up to me, his face contorted in anger. I didn’t know what to tell him or what I could possibly say to him. It was like my mind had completely gone blank.
“I knew you were someone who could go low but I never expected this from you.” His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at me. There was nothing but hate in his eyes.
“What?” I managed to say.
