Cyrene looked genuinely disturbed now. Tears began to fall down her cheeks. She tried to wipe them away furiously.

“I’m sorry. Please forgive me for that.” She bowed her head a little.

I knew it was all for show. She didn’t mean that. She was just scared of my threat. Without another word, she ran out of the store in tears.

Greyven glared at her distastefully as she left the store. He turned to me, his eyes still filled with concern.

“Are you okay? Is there anything missing?” He asked. “Whatever it is you need, this place would provide the best services for you.”

The salesman who had been watching everything made his way to me. “Thank you so much for what you did. I’m at your service. Whatever it is you need, please let me know.”

I looked at all of them before letting out a sigh. “I need a pair of shoes if you don’t mind.”

“I’ll get you some right away.” He bowed a little before hurrying away.

In the blink of an eye, he came back with a dozen luxury shoes. I recognized them as designer brand shoes, worth a lot of money. I mentally calculated how much I would spend on getting one.

Greyven stepped forward, interrupting my thoughts. “Charge it to my card and have them packed up for me.”

I looked at him and he sent me a wink. There was no point in arguing with him.

I let out a breath as we finished up with the last of the shopping. Greyven’s presence was like a constant shadow. I could feel his towering figure walking slowly behind me. His gaze was focused on his phone while the rest of his bodyguards carried the numerous shopping bags.

“Alright then.” The salesman blew out a breath as he turned to me. “Anything else I can help you with?”

“No,” I shook my head with a smile. “That’ll be all.”

He nodded before bowing his head a little. Greyven put his card back into his pocket and gestured to his guards. They all began to file towards the exit, the shopping bags still in their hands.

“Now that we’re done with that, I think we should be heading home.”

I hummed out a reply and began making my way towards the store’s exit. As we walked, Greyven’s attention was focused on his phone. A confident smirk grew on his face as he hurriedly typed something back.

Unable to hold back my curiosity, I slowly inched closer to him, trying to get a look at what he was doing.

Still, I found it hard to look away from him. He was wearing the lush white robes of the academy. Standing behind him where two other men. They had on the same white robes.

None of them were able to wear it like Froste though. It was almost as if the robes had been made just for him.

I frowned when I noticed they were standing in front of Tina. It looked like they were asking her a couple of questions.

My gaze went back to Froste without me even realizing. He was in great shape, just as he’d always been. He looked svelte in the white robes of the academy but it didn’t mean he lacked in power. I knew that quite well.

Some of his hands were exposed when he raised them to speak and I couldn’t help but note how nicely defined his muscles looked.

Just the side view of his face was enough to make any one swoon. The best of all were his eyes. So gorgeous and enthralling even though they looked devoid of any emotion whatsoever.

“Why’d you stop?” Greyven asked, sounding confused.

As soon as his eyes landed on Froste, his face tightened. He turned to me, a look of concern and protectiveness in his eyes.

“Don’t worry. I’ll handle this.”
