Greyven turned to his guards. “Get him out of my sight.”

“Wait!” I stopped him abruptly. “He’s probably busy with the elder. They’re in the process of choosing a student, you know. Let’s not bother him.”

Greyven’s eyes remained narrowed on him for a while before he turned back to me. “Alright then. We should get going.”

I nodded, making my way to the limo which was already waiting for us. Just as the car started to slowly move, I saw Froste staring at me from outside the window.

He’d already noticed me.

Where his eyes had once been cold and unwelcoming, they were now full of love and yearning. I turned away, unable to bear that look in his eyes any longer. It was better if I pretended it didn’t exist.

The car eventually drove out of the mall and we began making our way home. I tried to focus on the scenery outside the window, trying to calm my thoughts down.

“Miss Giselle.” The bodyguard driving the car started speaking.

“What is it?” I stared at his figure.

“That man you saw there was the inspection officer. He was appointed by the elders themselves. He’s responsible for randomly checking the character of each person who came for the exam.”

I was surprised. “Do you actually mean it?”

He nodded, his gaze still fixed ahead. “No doubt, Tina should be eliminated.”

I remained silent, letting his words sink in. I’d been with Froste for three years and I never even knew he was the Elder’s best student.

It was hard trying to ignore the stab of guilt I felt. Maybe if I had paid more attention, I would have known. I was simply too busy then, not to mention I didn’t really have time to care about Froste.

As soon as I arrived home, the maids took the shopping bags and went to work on arranging them out.

I kicked my shoes off and let myself collapse into a chair. Today was really something, and I could feel the exhaustion slowly creeping in.

Just as my eyes started to flutter closer, I heard footsteps coming close to me. I opened my eyes to see a man standing before me. He bowed his head and started to speak.

“Good day, Princess Giselle.”

I let out a gasp when he displayed a pair of shoes before me. “This was delivered her by some people from Galaxy Pack.”

The same shoes I’d gotten from Galaxy Pack. I had a suspicion of who might have sent it but that didn’t matter. I didn’t wear them for anyone. I only wore it because of the precious meteorites. They simply looked too good. Nothing more, nothing less.

I was still looking through all the participants that had come when my heart paused. Froste. He was here again.

He was dressed in exclusive royal academy attire today. As always, his outfit looked like it was tailored just for him.

Just then, his gaze turned to me and it was like the whole world froze. I swallowed down, unable to look away.

This would not be as simple as I thought.

It was like my eyes were permanently glued to Froste and I just couldn’t turn away from him no matter how hard I tried.

Froste was really here. Everything I saw him, it seemed even harder to take my eyes off him. I sucked in a deep breath when my steps almost faltered.

Just when it was all becoming too much to handle, I felt someone’s gaze on me. My heart fluttered when I locked gazes with familiar eyes.

“I finally found you.”
