The way his face seemed to have twist in disgust as she spoke to him back then. It couldn't just have been like that except something had transpired between them.

Or…she had crossed a boundary she shouldn't have dared to.

"There were still remorse about you, you know." Arthur added, watching me carefully.

My heart skipped a bit. "What other rumours?"

Arthur shrugged his shoulders. "Some speculations about you being coarse and ugly, and how several of your brothers disliked you. They said the others just tolerated you out of pity."

I let out a breath, trying to steel my nerves and put on a brave front before Arthur. This wasn't the first time people had tried to use rumours in ruining my reputation or slandering my name.

I got the feeling this was something I'd face a lot in the Royal Academy. I had to be ready for whatever it would throw at me, even if it was a couple of stinging lies about my appearance.

"Well what do you think about them?" I asked Arthur.

He watched me for a while before smiling. "I think they're all baseless."

That eased my nerves, even if it was just a little. In all honesty, I didn't care all that much for their rumours. No matter what I did, they'd still find a way to attack me if that was what they wanted.

They could do as they pleased if it stroked their swelling ego. I had more pressing issues on my mind.

"I wish I could just find my wolf now." The words left my lips without me even realizing it.

"Why?" Arthur asked. "Is something the matter?"

"I'd come here with the goal of creating value for myself as soon as possible. I know I'm privileged to have been born into the aristocrat but it doesn't mean I plan on squandering the wealth my parents left behind for me." I explained honestly.

Arthur hummed. "But that would be much easier, no?"

I shook my head. "That's not what I want. I want to build my own value into something I can be proud of."

Arthur's gaze lingered on me for a while before he turned to Cyrus. There was a good-natured scorn evident in his tone as he spoke.

"Seems Pack Lune finally has a sane person." He joked.

Pack Lune.

House Luciano was the top family of the pack and my expectation, bore the torch of all other families in the pack.

Bro, I can only help you so far, you know. There's nothing I can do about this.

Froste seemed to resign himself to this and just let out a sigh. He turned back to me, his eyes gleaming with something I couldn't quite read.

"I just saw Agnrs." He started.

"Okay." I simply said, wanting him to get over with what he wanted to say.

His gaze was fixed on me. "She didn't bully you, did she?"

I wanted to laugh at the act of concern he was putting on. He should be the last person that would try to act all worried about my wellbeing.

"What about bullying?" Cyrus asked, his eyes narrowed on him. "You're pretty late if that's the case."

I continued to size up Froste, comparing his muscular build to that of Arthurs. He definitely seemed to be as strong as Froste.

Unlike Arthur however, Froste always dressed like a scholar and toned down his aggressiveness.

A part of me wanted to believe it was because he was trying to be mellow and cool but I knew better than to underestimate him.
