Ryn's pov
Ace had been driving for at least ten minutes and we were finally nearing the road to the dock. But what surprised us were the two shipping trucks ahead of us. I looked at the dashboard and read 12: 30 on the clock.
"It's early, why are they on the road, didn't Leila say at one?" I asked confused as Ace speeds on the gas.
Ace shrugs. "It doesn't matter, at least we caught up to them."
I hummed and looked in the rear view mirror to see if they were any incoming vehicles. The road was empty with only us and those two trucks, which was a bit suspicious.
"Are you sure it's the right trucks? It's a bit suspicious that they aren't any gang members protecting Robert's precious possessions." I questioned.
Ace chuckles. "Don't talk too soon bellissima, I'm sure they're on their way."
He speeds up and squints at the number plates. "Yes it's the trucks alright."
I look at his line of vision and nod when I confirmed that it was indeed the number plates Leila had informed us. "Get me closer to that truck." I muttered to Ace pointing at the one that was ahead of us.
He looks at me from the corner of his eye in confusion. "What are you planning?"
I sighed and pushed the gun further into the waistband of the jeans. "Since we plan on taking the truck, we can't exactly harm it now can we? And there's no way they'll pull over willingly. I'm going on that truck and stopping it my way."
He looks at me in worry but does as I had told him. His hands come to grip mine and he squeezes it. "Please don't get hurt bellissima." He then turns to me and brings our interlocked hands up to his lips and gives it a kiss. "I love you Ryn."
My heart skips and a beam makes a way onto my face. "I love you too baby." I answered whole heartedly.
A radiant smile splits on his lips as his eyes shift back on to the road. We were so near the truck now that it was possible for me to jump on the ladder that was attached to the door.
Looking at Ace one last time, I let out a breath and pushed my body out of the Jeep and jumped on the ladder. My hands grip the thin metal tightly and my boots hit it with a light thud. The wind blows my long hair and I looked back to see Ace smiling at me in admiration. "That's my girl!" He praises.
I smirked and started climbing the ladder. When I had just gotten to the top a bullet breezes pass me. My ear rings and I looked back to see that two riders on motorcycles heading our way with speed. Fuck.
"Shit!" Ace yelled and skids when one of them starts shooting towards him. I clenched my teeth in anger and lay flat on my stomach in a way to not get shot by the persistent riders.
"Ryn are you okay?" Ace panicked voice shouts. My head snaps to him and I nod. He visibly lets out a relieved breath.
