TWENTY-FOUR
Harry smiles.
Oh Harry it's been a week since I've seen you and every time I see you I just feel like this all the time. It's crazy cos I feel like I'm running out of breath when you're near or you're around me. It's maddening cos every time I see your face I can't help but want to tell you the truth but how am I gonna suppose to do that? It's not that easy and I know for sure you won't believe it. But Ben, it's obvious that he's your son and I know I'm not making it up. You're the only guy I had sex with.
I take a deep breath in and exhaled heavily. Hoping my nervousness would release at the same time I exhale.
I smiled back and greeted, "Hi...."
"Sir." I snapped.
"I told you to call me Harry."
"It's on the manual. I should address anyone as sir and ma'm no matter who my customer is."
He smiles.
I handed him the menu. "Can I get you anything you want sir?"
He studies the menu but with a grin. I don't know what he has in mind but watching Harry smile has already became a habit to me. It's as if he puts the light after my dark days that I've been through. It was one hell of a week.
"If you want to have some breakfast meals..." I begin to say.
He glares at me.
"It's in front, there." I pointed. "But sadly we only serve them up until ten in the morning yet I'm sure they'll allow you to order some since you're a friend of Niall's." I say jokingly.
He smiles again.
"For lunch and dinner, they're all at the back. From beef stew, steak, soup, creme brûlée, pork, shrimp. You can also find our beverages there." I added right away while flipping it.
He pulled his head up to me again and we were both just staring at each other quietly. His green storied eyes are sexy. They're pieces of green-colored diamonds that I would want to buy but I can't cos I'm empty handed. He makes my heart race in ways I never thought my heart could.
Calm down heart. Shut up. You've seen Harry more than once, you've been with Harry than one time, you've been inside his penthouse but why am I still not used to this? Why do I get tense and very nervous when I see him?
My cold hand was holding the pad and the other one was holding the pen. I was waiting for him to tell me his order, anything he has in mind that he would want to have but he's just staring at me.
"You need to order something or that'll be very embarrassing for my part." I say shyly.
Harry lowers his head down and chuckles softly. "I would like to have..." he puts the menu down and looks back up at me. "A cup of coffee. Brewed." He smiles.
"And I missed you." He adds while looking at me.
Coffee...
Brewed...
I wrote that down.
And I missed...
I stopped writing.
You...
I quickly pulled my head back up to his gaze when I realized what I just lastly wrote on the pad. He was cheekily smiling at me. Damn it Harold Styles! I bite my inner cheek but lips are forming into a smile. A cheeky grin. Harry just said that he missed me.
Am I dreaming or just hearing things? I think I didn't clean my ears well a while ago since I'm not sure if what I heard coming from Harry is real or not.
He missed me. He really said that, didn't he? But why would he say that? Did he even mean what he said?
"And.." he snaps.
"I would like to ask this waitress asking for my order to have dinner with me when her shift is over." Harry continues.
My lips are smiling even if I try so hard on stopping it. I try to hide my smile by biting my lower lip but it's no use. He glares at me and his green eyes were making me feel certain ways that no guy had ever done to me before.
Take it easy heart, don't fail on me now. You need to relax. Calm down Randy. Calm down heart. Please take it easy. Just calm down.
I began to scratch out the And I Missed You part that I wrote on the pad while I kept biting my lower lip as I still feel his eyes glued on me.
Look away Harry, you're making me shy.
"A cup of brewed coffee." I say out loud as I finish on scratching and pulled my head back to him. "And her shift is almost over, if you can wait until four then yes, she'd love to have dinner with you."
A part of me seems to be forgetting something. But what?
Who?
He smiles at me and God damn that dimple of his is a vagina killer.
"And..." I trailed off. "I missed you too." I added sheepishly.
I began walking away from his table with my head bend down low while my lips kept on smiling. I just can't believe I told Harry that I missed him. Yes I was missing him lately but I shouldn't put something on what he said. I shouldn't think he's treating me as someone special and just because he said that he missed me doesn't mean he's actually into me or he actually meant it.
Damn it Miranda.
"So." Fatima appears next to me.
Here comes the big talker.
"Why did he ask for you?" She arched an eyebrow at me.
I glared at her, "I don't know. He didn't say anything. He just ordered for a cup of coffee."
She stands in front of me and crosses her arm over the other. "I remember you." Her eyes narrowing.
"Remember me where? When?"
"You were that woman who had dinner with Harry in here a few days ago."
Finally, Harry's order was ready the same time he recognized me and I quickly grabbed the tray. "I don't know what you're talking about Miss Fatima." I lied so she won't get mad at me.
I began walking back to Harry's table and placed his coffee before him. He looks up to me, "Thank you."
I smiled. "You're welcome sir. Anything else you want?"
"Yes." He answers. "Don't forget the waitress I specifically ordered."
I giggled inwardly. I seriously want to scream at how Harry is being really playful. I smiled at him and he did the same thing before I leave his table again.
By four, my shift was over and Harry was no longer at his table when I came back out. I wasn't the one who gave him his bill since Fatima forced me to give it to her. Harry hasn't texted me too and I was even expecting him to be waiting for me. I even pampered myself to look pretty in front of him before we head out for dinner but I guess he just left off.
"Miranda!"
I quickly turned around when Mrs. Quinn called my attention. She walks to me and smiled while rubbing my left arm, "You did a very good job today." She tells me.
I smiled right away when I heard he feedback. "Thank you very much Mrs. Quinn. I'm so happy to hear that coming from you. And it's just my first day."
She smiled again, "Mr. Horan picked a very diligent newbie and I'm happy you won't be a pain in my ass."
I chuckle softly. "Well, you best be off now. Your shift is over." She tells me.
