Boyfriend Let His Side Chick Ruin My Painting, Now He Regrets.

Lucas missed my art exhibition for the 57th time in our four-year relationship. 

He said there was an urgent meeting at work and promised to come next time. 

I was about to say it was fine when I spotted him across the street in a new dessert shop.

His young intern was holding an ice cream cone-one with a lipstick mark-up to his lips. 

Lucas was a germaphobe.

He never ate sweets, not even when he was with me. 

But in the next second, he took a bite without hesitation. 

The intern's sugary voice drifted over.

"Lucas, you didn't go to Madison's art show. Won't she be mad?" 

"Mad about what?" Lucas scoffed, slipping an arm around her waist.

"Her paintings are stiff and boring."

"Nothing compared to my lively little intern." 

Lucas had promised to propose on my birthday this year. 

I glanced at the calendar-three days left. 

But I no longer wanted to marry him.
