Chloe walked to Chase's room but her son wasn't there, not even in the restroom. A sudden worry enveloped her heart as she jogged into the lounge, kitchen but Chase was nowhere.

Finding Chloe running around the house like a maniac, Susie grabbed her arm and Chloe panted. "Chase isn't in his room." Chloe said in a panicking voice making Susie frown.

"Calm down. Chase is with the boss." Susie said calmly and a deep breath left Chloe's lungs in a whoosh. Her shoulders sagged and she rubbed her forehead to ease the severe pain that was abrupt in waves.

"What's wrong?" Susie asked as she helped Chloe to sit on the settee in the lounge as she herself sat beside her.

"I got so worried." Chloe mumbled softly and Susie frowned. It's just been a week of Chloe being Chase's nanny and she was behaving like that kid's mother.

"It's okay. They are in the garden. Boss was just showing Chase around the mansion. Nothing to worry about." Susie said, making Chloe nod as she smiled at him softly.

"I'll check on him." Chloe said and walked towards the garden but stopped near the glass door through which she can clearly see them.

A surge of foreign feeling erupted in her chest as she stared at her husband and her son. He was crouching near the plants of roses as he was explaining something to Chase who was listening to him keenly and once in a while bobbing his head at his father. Now as they were together in front of her. She noticed the similarities between them. They both have jet black hair and the same tan skin.

But Chase had her eyes and then it hit her, pain so agonizing and gut churning when she remembered her son Lucas. Her baby.

Tears gathered in her eyes as she blinked her tears away. So much pain. No matter how many years pass, the pain will never go away.

A constant reminder of what she lost, what he lost just because he didn't want to leave his mafia.

"Mommy." Chase screamed in so much joy as she immediately wiped her tears and smiled at the baby boy who ran into her legs and hugged her.

She kneels down and kisses him on both of his cheeks. Chase grabbed her face and kissed her on the forehead. She felt a heated gaze on them and her eyes met with dark brown hues of her husband. He was caught looking at her red handed yet he didn't look away.

Perhaps her brooding husband was angry because Chase called her mommy when he clearly instructed her to be called as his nanny but guess what he wouldn't say anything to Chase and she would never tell her baby to stop calling her mommy.

"Mommy come and meet daddy." Chase said while grabbing her hand as he walked towards Andrew and Chloe followed him silently.

"Daddy this is mommy." Chase introduced making them stand there quietly as they stared at each other.

"Mommy, this is daddy." Chase said to her this time making her give the little boy a nod but what he did next startled them both.
