Jess and I have been best friends since freshman year, we were roommates in the dorm and we both decided to pledge the same sorority, I'm so glad we did, we've been inseparable ever since, she's the sister I never had but always wanted.

"What do you want me to say? I gave you my best advice."

"I'm not a slut like you." I tell her before sticking out my tongue.

She laughs. "Hey, I'm proud of it, no guy has me wrapped around his finger like Ian has

you."

"He does not!"

"You go to all his home games." She points out like it's a bad thing.

"So?"

"So, you don't even like baseball."

I shrug. "I like watching him play, besides he likes when I come to his games. He says I'm his good luck charm." I can't help but grin at that, I've never been a good luck charm before, it makes me feel special that I'm Ian's. I do go to all his home games but I actually enjoy watching him play so I really don't mind.

She snorted at that."Kamdyn Bailey, who do you think you're kidding? You are so in love with him it's pathetic. It's sad really."

I cover my face with both of my hands. "I know." I groan.

"Stop going to his games and stop spending so much time with him." She says it like it's

so easy to do. It's hard not to be around Ian.

"I can't do that! He loves when I come to his games." I didn't want to disappoint him, besides, it was nice to feel needed.

"Do you hear yourself? So what if he loves you going to his games? You're too available to him. Play hard to get and see if he cares. That's the only way you're going to know if he feels the same way about you since you will never tell him how you feel."

"Well, he's either a man in love or he's having amazing sex either way most girls would kill to have Ian McAllister look at them like that."

I knew the look she was talking about and just thinking about it made me get butterflies. She's right, any girl would love to have Ian McAllister look at them like that but that doesn't mean he feels the same way I do. "I just wish he would tell me how he feels." I groan. "I want to make it official and really be with him, like in a real relationship."

"You mean like you and Mason had? Commitment is overrated. Besides you do remember how that ended right? He cheated on you with one of the cheerleaders and broke up with you via text."

As if I needed the play by play, I remember it like it was yesterday, it had ripped my heart out. I didn't think Mason was like that. He seemed so sweet and caring and he treated me well, or so I thought. The searing pain that used to accompany that particular memory was now more of a dull ache. It felt like forever ago and I was over it now but it didn't mean that it didn't still hurt. I had really loved Mason, and I'd really thought what we had was special. "Yeah well, not all relationships end like that." I tell her. "Not ever guy is Mason." I'm still a hopeless romantic even after Mason ripped my heart out and stomped all over it. It really didn't matter how much he'd hurt me. I still believe in love and I'm also a huge believer in karma, he will get what is coming to him, I just hope I get to see it.

"If you say so. Either way you're lucky even if you are just a hook up to him." Jess was right again, Ian is a player but he was still hard to get, he wasn't like most college guys who hook up with just anyone, Ian liked pretty girls, like ridiculously pretty girls and the fact that he's hooking up with me made me feel special. With my long, blonde hair and blue eyes I knew I was pretty, I just didn't know if I was pretty enough to make Ian McAllister commit. If I wasn't, I was still willing to be just his hook up, I mean at least I still had Ian. I couldn't imagine my life

without him. He keeps me happy and satisfied in more ways than one.

"And just because he makes it official doesn't mean he's not going to cheat on you. He's a guy." She points out.
