Being the only one he's sleeping with is one of the main reasons I want to make it official but she's right, just because it's official doesn't mean he won't cheat on me. Mason and I were dating and it didn't stop him from cheating on me but I still held on to the hope that Ian would be different. I wanted to be able to trust Ian and just like every other girl who is unfortunate enough to end up under Ian's spell, I wanted to be the one who changes him.

I've spent nearly every night with him this week but even when I'm not with him I still spend my night talking about him. Jessica is right, I am pathetic. I really, really wished I wasn't though. There's nothing worse than being madly in love with someone who doesn't love you back, but I wasn't ready to give up on him just yet.

"You should've never broken the rules." She says matter of factly.

"What are you talking about? What rules?"

"If you're going to have a friend with benefits there are certain rules you need to follow to make sure no feelings get involved."

"You would know." I teased her. She just grins before throwing a handful of popcorn at me.

"Rule number one, and it is the most important, is to never, ever fall in love. Like ever. You have clearly broken that one." What? Like it's easy not to fall in love with Ian? "Number two, don't spend too much time with them. Just do your thing and leave. Which leads me to rule number three, don't spend the night. You stay the night with him like what four or five days a week? Who does that? Rule number four, don't cuddle. I know you guys cuddle I don't even have to ask because you're the cuddling type of girl." She makes a disgusted face like cuddling is the worst thing in the world. "Rule number five, if he's an athlete, don't go to his games especially if you hate sports. If you stick to these rules and only have sex with the guy you would've been good. You broke every single one of those rules, no wonder you're in love with him. You guys even go out to eat and stuff. It's weird. You're practically dating."

"Yeah, only that we're not, at least not officially." I say grabbing my pillow and hugging it.

"Well, he's practically dating you. If you want to find out how he feels then stop being so available. Don't spend the night with him every night and see if he cares."

I loved spending the night with him though, I even sleep better sleeping next to him. As if on que my phone pings.

"What's he want?" Jessica asks with a knowing smile.

I look at my phone and she's right again, it's Ian. I hate she is always right, it's just not fair.

"What makes you think it's Ian?" I ask innocently.

"Oh please, that boy is always texting you. What's he want?"

Ian: Hey come over and keep me company

I look up at her. "He wants me to come over."

Ian:

"There you go play hard to get." Jess says. "Make him beg."

"No, I mean it, I'm not going tonight." It was hard to tell him no but I'm not giving in this time. I've got to be strong. I can do this.

My phone dinged again and when I looked at my screen Ian had sent me a picture of him lying in bed with no shirt on and his perfect abs on display. He's got that sexy cocky smile on his face. I groan. I can do this. I can do this.

"What?" Jess asks.

I show her the picture he sent me and this time it was her who groaned. "Girl, you're

stronger than me."

I rarely tell Ian no when he asks me to come over but when I've tried in the past he always seems to talk me into it, but not tonight. I'm not giving in this time. I glance at the picture one more time and sigh, this is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done.
