Damn, I flinched and put the book back on the shelf, and nervously shift my gaze at him.

“I-I’m sorry, I forgot the color…”

Before I could finish my sentence, he grabbed my arm and drag me out of the room.

“H-Hey! Can you be at least be more gentle?” I growled and get my arms off from his tight grip.

“Not on people who can’t even understand and obey my simple rule!” He shot back and get back to my arms again and drag me downstairs this time.

“I told you I forgot the color of the door!” I exclaimed back trying to explain myself.

“Don’t give me that bullsh*t Jada, you’re not a ten-year-old kid to forget that!”

“But I’m telling the truth you assh*le!”

Darn it, he’s getting into my nerves.

“You still have the audacity to call me that? Well then, you have to be taught a lesson!”

“I warned you earlier but you refused to heed!” He added and flash a small grin on his lips.

My eyes widened when he kept on dragging me and finally threw me out of the penthouse.

“What the f*ck? You can’t do this to me, Coleman!” I snarled and run towards him yet, unfortunately, it was too late as he was able to lock the glass door.

I tried to slam the door but it was too thick to even budge.

Is he for real? I roamed my eyes giving up just to see a bench next to a coconut tree, in front of the beach. I glared at the closed door once again but he was not there anymore. I let out a deep sigh before walking towards it, seems like someone’s gonna sleep outside tonight, and that someone's name is Jada.

It was dark already and a cold breeze started to embrace me, I wasn’t even able to change my clothes and wear a sweater. He’s insane, how could he do this to me? I wasn’t expecting that he’s true to his words about throwing me out of the penthouse once I entered that room.

But my thoughts suddenly flashed back to the book I saw in that room, he’s the one who told me that we’re here to find out about my tattoo right? And I think that book will unveil everything, but why did he act like that?

He’s really hard to read sometimes, and I have to get to know him more. It seems like there are some cards hidden in his sleeves that might help me on my plan for revenge.

I pulled back when my phone rang. I smiled to see Trinity’s name on the screen.

“Trinity.” I greeted in my usual tone, not letting her know that I’m excited to talk to her. It’s been a week since we’re too busy adjusting to our lives after everything that happened.

“Jada, how are you?” She asked in her cheerful voice, I doubt if it’s real. I know that no matter how she hides it, she’s in pain like I do.

“I was the one supposedly asking you that, how’s your stay there in the U.S?” I asked.

She decided to take a vacation out of the country to take some rest and for her safety as well. Until the culprit on Kendra’s death still breathing fine, we have to be more careful. We have to think ahead of them and counter their plans.

Also, the reason why I agreed to go with Achilles to this private resort. I don’t think they’ll be able to find me here if they started looking for me.
