Damien suddenly felt uneasy. At first he thought it was because of the news of Jada being pregnant. For a fact, if he said he wasn't anticipating this, he would be a celebrated liar. He knew what he was doing and signing for, when he decided to have sex with the lot of them without condom.

At that moment, he should be very happy and rushed to her and hug her tightly. But he couldn't move his legs. He could say it was because of the shock of the news, because he never expected it.

But it seemed like there was something more than that. Something which he could feel deep inside him but haven't been able to prove yet.

He had a strong uneasy feeling which told him that something ugly was about to happen. He knew he could only owe that feeling to the system. But no matter how real the haunting feeling was, he couldn't tell exactly what the impending disaster was.

The more important and annoying question at that moment was why now? The feeling could had come about five minutes later. Why did it have to come when he heard a goodnews? A news that he was about to be a father!

And what was more disturbing was the fact that he couldn't throw the feeling off. He couldn't ignore it. No matter how hard he tried to, he just couldn't.

"Damien, are you going to say something?"

One of the girls called at him. He wasn't interested in who had just spoken. He looked away from Jada to the water fall. The water had grown black. It must have been infected by the fluid which spurted from the body of the Mongoue serpent.

When he looked back at Jada, he bent and picked up a bag which was by his leg. He threw the bag forward.

"It seems like you have all had a bath. You would find body lotions, cream, and perfumes of different brands. Of course there are clothes there too. Change into something nice and beautiful."

He walked away from them,

"You must all look good... we return home today!"

He called over his head and kept walking, without stopping for a minute.

"Damien!"

"He's so heartless."

"How could he do that?"

"Didn't he hear that Jada is carrying his child? How could he be so cold towards her? Even if they have their differences... shouldn't he ignore that at a time like this?"

"I hate him!!!"

Lisa walked to Jada,

"Please Jada, ignore his reaction. He's very dumb for doing that."

"Yes Jada, please don't let that affect your mood. I've heard that if a pregnant woman wants to have a beautiful baby, she must stay bright and happy all through the process. She mustn't feel sad."

"You have us, Jada. We will be there for you. Through every of the process. And I'm sure that Damien would come around. Perhaps the news was just too heavy for him. I mean, he's about nineteen to twenty years old."

Jada stood there, looking from one girl to the other as they spoke.

"How could she be pregnant without his consent? Who does that? Plus she has a crappy character too."

Claire called, looking away.

"What did you just say?"

Allison took it personally. One after the other, the girls came after Claire and she made a run for it. The girls didn't give her what she expected. They didn't pursue her.

"Let's change into something good then. When we get to Vegas, we'll sort this out. Perhaps we only see things from our own side, he might be going through a lot too. He had been gone for several weeks. Yet he saved us from that monstrous beast."

Jada came on. All the girls were impressed by what she said.

"So it seems. This pregnancy has really taken a toll on Jada. Why does it feel like I'm gazing upon a stranger now! Hey, you! What have you done to the Jada I know?"

Obviously many of the girls were still mad at Claire because of earlier, but some of them couldn't hold back their laugh at those recent words of hers.

Claire then could take the risk to slowly join the rest of the girls.

"Let's get changed quickly as suggested by Jada. Before our prince charming changes his mind and leave us stranded again, for keeping him late."

Lisa picked up the bag and began to sort the clothes.

"There was this strange look on his face which I have never seen in my life. I mean, I've never seen him wear that face. Something must have happened to him..."

Mira called.

"I noticed that too."

Laurette seconded. There was silence for a while, as the girls sort their clothes.

"Damien was so cool. Look at the way he fought and brought down the beast. Damn, I've never seen anyone so cool."

"Should you really talk about that right now? Shouldn't we be an emotional support for Jada? You fool!"

"What did you just call me?"

For a moment, the girls had to take a pause for those who were about to fight. Perhaps later they would get back to changing their clothes.

"What could it be? What is this strange feeling that sends chills down my spine?"

Damien gulped. He was leaning on one of the sides of yacht.

"Is it a bad idea to leave the island? Is leaving the island a bad idea?"

He shook his head. That sounded quite ridiculous.
