Damien never thought that Elisa could feel so intimidated before the girls. She clutched at his left arm, holding it dearly. Damien looked at her, trying to read the expression her face was holding.

He had a strange feeling. It was strange but soothing. It was the feeling that a lady of such a big class leaning on him. Looking unto him for protection.

Perhaps he needed a little more time to adjust to the fact that he wasn't the wretched Damien he used to be.

For the record, since he arrived back from the island, he could get whatever he wanted. He didn't even need to put his heart to it. All he had to do is wish for it, and the system would lead him towards actualizing the desires.

When he looked away from her, his gaze was thrown at the girls. He looked from one girl to the other. He was giving them a little time to come up with whatever they had in mind. It was natural to opine that if the girls had come that far, then they must have something to say.

When his gaze fell on the last person of the group, and no word came yet, he nodded.

"If you will, milady."

He smiled at Elisa before taking the first step. Elisa joined and they kept on walking. Towards the chain of tough looking girls.

When they were close enough, Elisa squeezed his arm. He understood what that meant. She wanted him to send the girls away. After all, they wouldn't walk over the heads of the girls if they wanted to pass; the girls blocked the hallway. Their number was at their favor.

When he was close enough to the girls, he made his eyes glow and the girls scrambled off his sight, falling away to the sides. Elisa who had no idea what just happened turned to Damien who smiled back at her.

Damine should feel a little bad for acting towards the girls in such manner. For placing a strange lady over them. But he didn't. He didn't for once find a reason to be remorseful.

He had a card up his sleeves. Which was hidden from all the girls, even including Elisa.

He kept walking with Elisa in his arms. Elisa took a risk of looking at her back. Damien didn't.

They used the elevator, and walked out of the hotel. He led her to his batmobile. He should buy more cars. He knew he should but he didn't want to.

Reason being that, he heard that a lot of packages came with the Boldyville tower which he was yet to go check out. He still had more than enough to worry about. He couldn't fancy the option of going to check out an exorbitant tower. His tower!

He had the human trafficking odds to worry about and lots more.

He shut the door of the car and walked to the other side. He got in and ignited the motion of the car. He was about to drive off,

"Where are we headed?"

That was the reasonable question to ask. Damien gazed upon her for a while, slowly letting his face break into a gentle smile. Even though she had no idea what that reaction was about, she gave in to the urge to smile. He won her over.

"Don't be impatient. We'll see."

He nodded then looked away from her. When he was about to look away, he noticed that her face changed after those words of his.

He looked again at her. She wasn't looking at him anymore. She was looking at the window. Like she could see through the tinted glass.

Damien felt that something wasn't right, but he couldn't quite place it.

OR MAYBE I'M THINKING TOO MUCH!!!

He dismissed the thought and drove off at once.

"Really! Really! How pathetic!"

Evelyn was the first to raise her voice. The rest of the girls looked from one person to the other. It was obvious that they didn't know how to chose their words.

"Why did y'all follow me then when you couldn't say a word? Why were you all watching as though you lost your wits? Didn't you chant about killing her, slapping her... beating him to pulp? Cat caught your tongues few seconds ago? Really?"

Evelyn felt the urge to leave at once but she couldn't. Though she was enraged, yet it was as though she was seeking answers for the questions which she had just asked.

None of the girls seemed willing to provide answers to her questions. It was rather strange.

Yet, Evelyn wouldn't appreciate the silence. She would look around her to grunt. They were still in the hallway.

"Things didn't go as planned this time. But we won't lose some other time. Trust me. We will make that bitch pay!"

Tendzel raised her voice. All attention went to her.

"What other time? How sure are you that we will get another chance? Don't be surprised that she would never want to meet with us anymore."

"And even if she made the mistake of meeting with us, did you forget what she said about coming with bodyguards? Huh?"

Mira reminded Allison who had blown her fat words. There was a brief silence for a while. The atmosphere was heated. It was not hospitable to any of the girls.

"I have an idea."

Tendzel confessed.

"Will it harm Damien?"

Jada asked. Everyone was shocked to hear Jada ask the question. It didn't seem enough that she had been quite all this while, only for her to say that?

"Why do I feel like you have changed a lot Jada? You are not the person I used to know. Ever since the pregnancy."

"Didn't you say you would give the baby to a rich man?"

"Hey, hey... that's enough. Let's not make her the victim here."

Tendzel stood up for Jada. Jada didn't look like she appreciated it. She didn't look like she was interested in whatever the girls had to say.

"What idea did you say you have?"

Laurette was eager to know. Aside Claire, Ayisha and Jada who seemed aloof, the rest of the girls looked really invested.

"What just happened right now?"

Tendzel asked. The girls looked confused.

"We are mad?"

Tendzel shook her head.

"Jada is scared?"

"Evelyn wants revenge?"
