Evan's P.O.V
I stood there frozen as I realized what I've done. I wish I knew how to control my anger. Mike will never forgive me. And I'm sure Annie won't be happy about this either.
"Dude, what the fuck?" Mike screamed. "You went too far," he glared at me.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to punch you this hard," I said, feeling extremely guilty.
"I think you busted my lip. I could make money with this face you know," he said.
I suppressed my laugh. This is so like Mike to say shit like this.
"I could take you to the hospital," I offered.
"Don't bother. I'm going to the nurse. But just so you know it's on now. I'm not giving up on Annie whether you like it or not. So you can go fuck yourself," he snarled.
"Good luck with that asshole," I barked.
With that, I left him there. I needed to calm down. Mike and I always argue but it never tainted our friendship but this might be the last straw. He is trying to move in on my girl. I mean whatever the fuck happened to the bro code?
At lunch, I frantically looked for Annie near her class. I needed to get to her before Mike does.
But I was too late. He was walking out of class. Holding my Annie's hand! The bastard.
He looked at me and smirked so I flipped him off.
"Annie, come with me," I said and took her hand.
"Oh okay," she said.
I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and snuggled her against my chest, ignoring Mike's glare.
"You better go, this isn't your lunch period," I said curtly.
"I'll see you later Annie," he gave me a final look of hatred then left.
I brushed her hair away from her face and kissed her passionately.
"Mm...Evan! People will see us!" she exclaimed.
"They are already watching and I don't give a fuck," I whispered and placed small kisses on her forehead and face.
"Get a room," Lily said and approached us. I saw jealousy flickered in her eyes. She was frowning. But to my relief, she didn't make any more comments and just gave Annie a hug. Guess she is not over me completely.
"I'm glad you are back," Lily said. "I gotta go now but I'll catch you guys later," she said and walked away.
"Did Mike say anything to you?" I asked Annie nervously.
"What about?" she looked confused. I guess he never told her.
"Eh...nothing. Let's go eat. I have your lunch," I said and ran my fingers through her hair. I didn't see Mike after lunch. Maybe he went home. I felt kind of guilty but he shouldn't try to steal my girl in the first place. I need him to back the fuck off.
My mom was waiting for us in the living room when we got home. She stood up when she saw us.
"Annie, there have been some changes with your grandmother's plan so she will be arriving tomorrow instead of next week," she said.
