Shaun Juhl felt the urge to charge at Zayn Guggenheim and beat him up severely, but he thought about Lindsey, so he withdrew his gaze from Zayn and turned to walk towards the exit.

Even though Shaun held back, Zayn did not want to. Zayn always felt regretful that he did not get to beat up Shaun last time.

Moreover, when he saw Shaun, he subconsciously thought of Lindsey.

Earlier, Shaun had found a nurse to watch over Lindsey and asked the nurse to call him as soon as Lindsey woke up.

Unexpectedly, he received the call as soon as he arrived downstairs. When he picked up the phone, he could hear Lindsey’s voice saying, "Big brother..."

Shaun sounded very concerned as he asked, "Linds, you're awake? How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine, much better. When can I leave the hospital?"

Lindsey’s voice sounded less energetic and more dispirited.

Hearing that she was still thinking about getting discharged from the hospital, Shaun was infuriated and said, "The doctor said that you need to be hospitalized so that you can recuperate."

Even when he was angry, he still spoke to her with a gentle voice.

Lindsey was anxious and whined, "No brother, Grandpa’s at home. If I don’t go back, he’ll be worried."

"Zayn Guggenheim treated you like this, so I think it's better that you don’t go back to the Guggenheim mansion."

Shaun rarely raised his voice at Lindsey.

When he heard her pleading to him with that soft voice, Shaun swallowed his anger and was just about to comfort Lindsey when he heard an unsettling voice coming from the side.

"Is it any of your business if my wife goes home or not?"

Shaun stopped in his tracks, then said to Lindsey in a gentle voice, "Don't run around until you've recovered. Wait for me to come back, then we’ll discuss your discharge."

After he said that, he hung up the phone and looked in the direction of the voice.

Zayn had heard everything that Shaun said clearly and was stunned. Lindsey was hospitalized?

His face was still as indifferent as before.

"Wife?"

Shaun unhurriedly straightened his sleeves. His eyes that were usually warm like the spring sun contained emotions that only men understood among themselves.

"Mr. Guggenheim, I truly admire your impudence."

Zayn was already in a bad mood. After hearing Shaun's words, his face completely sank.

His chest was overflowing with anger and some inexplicable uneasiness.

At this time, Lindsey got up to use the bathroom. Just after she stood up, she heard a few nurses gossiping in the hallway as they passed by her room door.

"Oh my god, he’s so handsome! Both of them are so good looking and ruthless. I wonder what grudge they had that the security guards couldn't even stop them."

Another nurse echoed, "Right?! They’re too sexy! It’s usually rare to see such a hot guy, but now there’s two of them! And they’re fighting each other! I like the one in the gray suit. The corner of his mouth was bleeding but he still smiled at the other guy. Oh my god, my fragile heart!"

The more Lindsey heard their conversation, the more she felt that something was wrong. Gray suit? She recalled that Shaun wore a gray suit earlier.

Lindsey felt so uneasy that she did not even bother to use the bathroom anymore. She turned to open the door, then pulled one of the nurses and asked, "What floor did you say the fight was on?"

The nurse was stunned as she was suddenly pulled by Lindsey, then pointed downstairs and replied, "First floor."

The nurse wanted to tell Lindsey that there was already another woman down there who was trying to persuade them to stop fighting, but Lindsey was already long gone. The nurse just sighed and thought, ‘What a messy situation!’

When Lindsey arrived downstairs, she was already out of breath. She was still weak and her head was throbbing.

With a raging fire in her heart, Lindsey could no longer condone this woman’s behavior and snapped, "Are you blind? Is he the only one who’s injured?"

Once she said this, Shaun smiled until his eyes narrowed, while Zayn's face turned glum.

Lindsey did not want to stand there as entertainment for others, so she held Shaun's arm and said, "Big brother, let's get a doctor to check out the injury on your face."

Shaun obliged and the two of them walked through the crowd as if no one else was watching. Zayn, who was at the side, watched them with a piercing gaze.

"Lindsey Juhl!"

Zayn suddenly called out her name, but Lindsey pretended not to have heard it and continued to walk towards the emergency room.

Jenny was dissatisfied with Zayn’s attention for Lindsey and said, "Zayn, why are you calling her? Can't you see that she doesn't even care about you?"

"Shut up!"

Zayn fiercely pushed the woman in his arms away and ignored the fact that Jenny's foot was still injured.

Jenny sat on the ground and sobbed, "Zayn! You...you actually pushed me? You got angry at me for that woman?"

Her eyes were full of disbelief, but Zayn did not even glance at her and ordered, "Get someone to send Ms. Lenig home."

After he said that, he followed Lindsey's footsteps and went to the emergency room.

"Ms. Lenig, let me help you up."

The maid from the Guggenheim mansion carefully reached out and tried to help Jenny up.

"Useless! Move faster."

Jenny clenched her teeth so hard that her pearly whites were about to fall off. She vented all her anger on the maid and yelled at the surrounding onlookers, "What are you looking at? What’s there to see!"
