|| AZRAEL DE LUCA'S POV ||
She looked shocked, taken back..
Did she seriously think that I would give her a free run after disobeying my order last night?
She swallowed hard as she pressed her son behind her harder, her gaze flashing in fear. A smirk grew in my lips, knowing that this stubborn ass lady had only one weakness in her life, this boy, Ryan.
" What.. what are you doing here?", she stuttered, peering at my men who had surrounded us. I replied by twisting my lips, taking slow steps to her,
" I have come to see you here especially since you left without informing. I wanted to see who was the important person who gave you the urge to disobey me last night."
My eyes fell behind her but once again, she hid him behind her body, only half of his face was seen barely. I chuckled, raising my eyes at her daring,
" Do you really think that this can hide him from me, Miss Stevens? Seriously? You know what kind of man I am."
She blurted, her breathing turned shaky,
" I know and that's why, I don't want you to meet him. You might scare him. Besides, I wasn't obliged to spend the night with you, Luca."
That's it! She got a smart mouth and I liked her for that!
I shook my head with a smile, shrugged with a smirk which turned her angered more,
" Too bad..I am already here... Now, let me introduce myself to your son.."
She looked hesitant but I had already given her no chances. Stepping closer, I spoke in a soft voice, sounding like a fake gentleman which I was never,
" Hi Young Man!"
" Who is it?", he got out of his mother's shelter in a second, shooting me a cold glare questioning. Strange emotions washed over me. He looked nothing like her mother. Those eyes looked more mature, cold and humorless. Surely, he got some good genes. Ryan Stevens kept peering between his mother and me.
I smiled at him, knowing that my presence didn't scare him like his mother stated. Kiera rolled her eyes reluctantly but soon returned to her polite attitude. She replied after an exhale,
" Ryan..This..is Azrael De Luca..My..uhh..I am working for him..."
Ryan made an 'oh' noise as if he understood and nodded at me politely,
" Oh..Nice to meet you, Sir."
I chuckled at his polite gesture. His mother surely taught him well. I replied, smiling a little to ensure that my voice didn't scare the little bun,
" You can call me 'uncle Luca'."
