Things were going well. I was really happy. And in love. I smiled giddily as I put on my dress. After much persuasion Thane had finally let me visit Bronte's hut but I had to go with Noir.

He stayed outside while I explored the inside of the hut. I didn't want to take anything out of the hut so I read the books there.

I had found out a few things about my mother. Her name was Circe. There was no record about my father's name except that he was a werewolf. The book talked about a prophecy but I couldn't understand it.

After three days, I was satisfied with what I had learnt about my mother and figured there was no need to search deeper. I remembered Bronte's words from the dungeon.

I took one final look around the room. This was the last time I would be coming here. I went outside and saw Thane outside with Noir. This was the first time he had come here. He turned to me and smiled. I smiled and jogged to where they stood.

"What are you doing here"

"I want to take you somewhere"

"Where?"

"When we get there"

"At least give me a hint"

"You've asked me to let you go there but I refused" where did I ask to go and he didn't let me?

"Why did you change your mind?"

"You really wanted to go there"

He led us out of the forest and towards the castle grounds. The view of the castle came into view and I stopped.

"It's in the castle?" I gasped. "Are you taking me to the dungeons?" He chuckled but shook his head. We took a turn as we got to the training grounds.

I squealed. "The infirmary" I pulled him so we walked faster. Kyros stood at the entrance with a smile on his face.

"We've been expecting you" he bowed and led us inside. I followed through the familiar path to the children's ward. The children ran to us and a few hugged my legs. I recognized a few faces and gave them pats.

"They have been asking of you for a whole now"

"Really. I missed you all"

"Thank you alpha for allowing the queen to work here" I stood up in alarm and looked at Thane. He didn't know I worked here. "The children really liked it when she came around. And if she can come around when she's free, we will be happy to have her." I wanted to stuff my hand down Kyros's throat and stop him from talking.

"You would. Come with me for a moment Esmeralda" I followed behind him as we left the ward. He pushed open a door and pulled me inside.

It looked like a store room where supplies were kept.

"Lift your dress"

"Thane"
