Thane asked me to go up to my room with Nala and rest while they went to sort the problem. I didn't argue because I was in too much shock and I didn't want to watch any gory scene.

Apparently Roman wanted me dead because I was a half-breed, Anstice wanted revenge because his daughter was 'killed' because of me. The maid was just a pawn in their games but she was going to be punished and the witch didn't want my child born.

They spent most of the day in the dungeon, torturing the criminals. When Thane came back to our room, he was freshly showered and I was thankful because I didn't want to see blood on him.

He joined me and pulled me into his chest. "It's over?"

"It's over" I kissed his hands and thanked him because I felt at peace now. There was no more trouble and I could finally be with my man.

Shit. I had forgotten about one little pest. Carlyn. I thought she had left the palace. Boy was I wrong. She was everywhere. In the garden, at the table, in the kitchen. Hell she was in my fucking business.

We were at dinner and she was babbling about something while clinging onto Noir. His face seemed blank as usual and he let her rub herself all over him. Lily had to excuse herself because she couldn't stand the sight and he barely looked at her.

A few times I almost screamed at her but Thane always held me back. Be calm, that's what he kept saying in my mind. I huffed in annoyance giving both him, the skank and the cold faced guard the stink eye.

I didn't dislike Noir as much as I did because he saved my life and I made sure to thank him. But he was hurting Lily and I didn't like him very much at the moment.

We retired to our room after dinner and I took a bath and joined my mate on our bed.

"I wish shell just disappear" I told Thane and he chuckled.

"You can make her disappear"

"I can. How?"

"You'll have to figure that out" I smacked his chest as I straddled him my bump between us.

I kissed his lips and he gripped my hair in his fists. He kissed down my neck and to my shoulder were his mark lay. I threw my head back with a sigh as he breathed over it and then running his tongue over it.

I ground my center against his groin as he laid kisses over my chest. He pulled my nightwear down my body roughly. And took my two mounds into his hands, squeezing them and pinching my nipples.
