I could already feel his rage through the bond. His smell was the first I noticed before his blazing eyes met mine. He walked to me and quickly inspected me for any injuries.

I touched his arm. "I'm fine" he nodded and went over to Noir and he filled him in.

"Who gave the Luna a drink in my name" his loud voice boomed. Everywhere was dead silent and it only seemed to increase his rage. He released is dominance and all werewolves and humans fell to the floor.

Noir and Valdus seemed to be struggling to stay upright while the others groaned in pain. I whimpered as I was not left out. He turned to me and released his hold on them.

He walked to me and carried me in his arms and out of the great hall. Valdus and Noir followed behind us.

"Head to the office. I'll be there in a few"

"No. Please I want to be there"

"You need to rest"

"Please. I want to be with you" his eyes softened and he carried me to the office. He sat on his chair and placed me on his laps.

"I reached into everybody's minds. The culprit is not there. I need the names of all the people absent" Noir mind linked someone.

"What do you have"

"There was no detectable scent around the Luna. And I'm thinking it must be related to Roman" I flinched at the sound of his name.

"What do your men have on him"

"No exact location yet. But a cloaked figure has been spotted numerous times around the border talking with someone"

"Any identity yet?"

"None as of now" Thane slammed his hands on the table with a growl. I rubbed his chest soothingly to calm him.

"But we know he's working with an insider and he has help from the witches"

"Gather the other lycans. They are incharge of border patrol. All werewolves and traineeshould be moved to the palace. And everything she takes from food to drink should be tasted"

"What if it's poisoned?"

"They die. One of them tried to kill you. Noir only you, Valdus, your mates and the doctor are allowed around her for now"

I didn't get to argue or hear the rest of the things they said because I blacked out.

When I woke up, hands were softly caressing my hair. I smiled at him after he kissed my cheeks.

A throat cleared and I saw Kyros standing awkwardly at the door. "Luna" I nodded at him.

"I've done some research as per the king's orders and discovered a way to help with the situation" he nodded to my protruding belly.

"Really?" He nodded with a smile.

"The king's blood will make things easier for your body. No more blackouts and the chances of surviving childbirth will be higher" I hugged Thane tightly and placed kisses all over his face while he chuckled.

"But.." I turned to him with a frown.

"You remember all those times you took his blood? The things that happened?" I nodded.
