Taimur
"What was that?" Riyadh looked at Taimur and asked as soon as Eva exited the jet.
"Farewell" Taimur replied looking out of the window.
He had seen Eva wiping her tears as she had climbed down the stairs and then sat in the back seat of the car waiting for her.
"How could you do this Taimur? How can you push away the woman you love?",Riyadh asked shocked.
"She doesn't love me", Taimur said, taking a deep breath. It was like he was trying to convince himself more than Riyadh.
The car was speeding away from the runway. He turned back and looked at Riyadh.
"You are blind", Riyadh said irritated.
" It took 6 years for you to get over Sehar, how many years do you think it will take you to get over Eva?" Riyadh asked annoyed.
" I am marrying Alia two months from today", He told Riyadh and started looking out of the window again.
What the hell was Riyadh's problem? Why didn't he just let him be? It was already difficult for Taimur to let Eva go.
Taimur was thankful Eva didn't turn and looked back at him, otherwise, he would have stopped her from going.
Taimur knew she had feelings for him, but it was related more to the needs of her body than soul. She hadn't been with a man for a long time and when Taimur entered her life her body had reacted to him.
Taimur had sensed the internal struggle between her mind and her body.
Taimur wanted her to love him with all her heart not just because they were great in bed together. And this was nearly impossible.
She had made it loud and clear, that she was staying with him against her will. And that she wanted to go back to her life.
Eva had deceived him from day 1, if she really loved him she would have told him the truth.
Taimur was broken from inside but he was not showing it. He sent Eva back before she could have hurt him more. He was still not able to trust women.
He was betrayed twice by them and it was a lesson enough for him. He had agreed to the Council's wish of marrying a girl from within the Al Jahaan clan.
He had met Alia 4 years ago at his parent's house. She looked like a sensible girl. She was an Eye specialist, tall, pretty, typical Arabian beauty with a good sense of humor.
Taimur knew he wouldn't get a better match then Alia. He decided to tell her the truth about Eva and him. He wanted to form this relationship on trust.
The two weeks in the US turned out to be quite hectic, meetings, interviews and press conferences. He was portrayed as a superhero by the western media.
He had met David de Costa, the head of the RRH, the man was pure evil. They have been running the RRH for four generations.
Taimur had asked him the question which had been eating him for two years.
"Why me? He asked looking into his eyes.
Negative vibes emitted from the man seated opposite him. He looked at Taimur with a blank face and said "Your hunger for conquering the world".
"My father is more ambitious", Taimur said with a surprise.
"We didn't want to mess it up. Your grandfather had proved to be quite a pain in the ass for us. I liked him. He was a nice man, what a waste. And we thought he would have told his son's about the RRH.", Costa gave him a smirk.
Taimur punched him in the face, the officers present in the room interfered and pulled Taimur away from him.
"We will come for you Jahaan, we will come for you", Costa threatened Taimur.
"I will be waiting", Taimur replied as he was ushered out of the room.
Taimur knew they were just empty threats. Costa's whole family was arrested and were being tried for the crimes the family committed.
They had captured all the members of the RRH, some had joined the RRH willingly some were recruited by threatening them.
All in all, it was a win-win situation for everyone. The President had hosted a special dinner in honor of Taimur.
Taimur was still missing Eva in all this hassle.
Taimur was not able to get her out of his mind, a few times he got even close to calling her. But he restrained himself from doing it.
He had committed himself to someone else. And he was determined to keep the commitment.
After returning from the US he went to the ranch, he wanted to spend some days remembering and cherishing her memories.
She was everywhere, in his thoughts, in his heart, in his mind. Taimur was going insane remembering the days and nights they had spent together.
He had to get over her and move on, he had a duty toward his country. The people of Azmaayir needed him.
Nearly two weeks had passed him being at the ranch. He used to ride Qismat to the spot in the woods where they had made love in the rain. It seemed as if Qismat was missing her too.
His engagement was the next day and he was still at the ranch when Riyadh called him to tell that Alia wanted to meet him to discuss some important issues.
Taimur halted when they were far away from earshot, near a bench and sat on it. Alia sat beside him. She took his hand in hers and said " I want this relationship to start with trust, I know you don't love me. There has been someone else in your life. But I still want to give this relationship a chance".
"You know about Eva", Taimur was surprised, he didn't expect her to come straight to the point.
He was glad that she was straight forward like him and avoided beating around the bush.
"You should have known these kinds of things don't stay hidden especially in the Royal circles where men and women have nothing much to do than gossiping",
Alia teased him and bit her lip in a teasing way, Taimur hardly controlled himself from touching her lip with his fingers.
"Look I know you loved her maybe you still do, and it's not like I love you. I also had someone, whom I loved. We are not together now but I can promise you he is my past and will never come between us. The reason I am telling you this is that I want truth and trust to be the foundation stone of our relationship, we can build a fortress of love on it. But if we want our fortress to be strong and not come crumbling onto us we need the foundation to be strong. And it can only happen if we trust and are honest with each other", Alia said tracing patterns on the back of his palm with her fingers in an innocent way.
Taimur was listening to her words very carefully, and he can't help but admire her for her honesty.
"Why didn't you marry him?" He found himself asking.
"My parents would never have consented and there were a lot of cultural differences, not that it mattered to me. But it would have been not good in the long run when we might have had kids", She said drawing a deep breath.
Taimur was looking at her, he couldn't help but notice the rise and fall of her bosom with her breath.
"Why didn't you marry her?" Alia asked looking in his eyes.
"It's just that we were not meant to be together", He smiled at her for the first time with all his heart.
The girl before him was slowly melting the walls around his heart. He found himself opening to her. Then he took her left hand in his and kissed the ring he had slipped in her finger an hour ago.
He was pleased how perfectly it fitted in her finger, he had bought that ring for Eva. But sometimes life plays hide and seek with you.
Alia's hands were beautiful, velvety soft with long fingers and manicured nails.
She smiled in a seductive way when he kissed her hand. Her dimples getting visible in her cheeks.
"I think you are already in love with me", She teased him.
Taimur laughed at her words and said " I wish it was so easy to fall in love with someone, but I promise I will be faithful to you. The trust you have put in me I will try my best never to break it"
"I will always be honest with you, no matter how I feel. I promise I will always try to keep you happy and provide for all your needs. And who knows with time maybe I will fall in love with you", Taimur said as he rose from the bench with her hand in his and they strolled towards the hall, where everyone was waiting for them.
" Come let's start a new life together," He said as he entered the hall to the cheers of their families.
He knew his life would be pleasant in the company of the woman walking beside him, hand in hand.
