Eva
She looked at him aghast, he was back to his ruthless self. The Taimur she had known since the day she had met, not the vulnerable Taimur which had broken down in front of her a few minutes ago.
She never understood him, one minute he was all warm and loving and the next he was cold and distant.
The vulnerability and softness of his features from a few moments ago was replaced with taut and firmness. The warmth in his eyes had turned cold, so cold that she felt shivers run down her spine.
"I will get my daughter back, even if I have to turn the whole world upside down. I will find her and I will take her away from you", He snarled.
Taimur looked like he even hated the sight of Eva at this moment. If he was saying that he would take Emma away from her, there was nothing in this world that could stop Taimur Al Jahaan.
" No, please. You can do this, I can't live without her. Please don't do this", Eva pleaded as she held his hands in her, he pulled his hands away from her grip spitefully.
"Don't touch me", He roared.
" Taimur please do something, find her please, Taimur. He will kill her, Oh Lord, my baby. How will she be without me", She started crying as she thought about Emma.
Her baby girl was alone out there at the mercy of some monsters. Eva couldn't even think how Emma might be feeling? How her little mind would react to the abduction.
She can't help but dread how those abductors might treat her. What if they drugged her to keep unconscious? There were so many questions but no answers.
Who could hate Taimur to such an extent that they wanted to hurt him using a small child? She was remembering everything about Emma. Each and every small habit of her.
"She never sleeps without her alligator, and her quilt, if only I had not stopped to speak to Mrs. Thomson", Eva was remembering each and every detail.
She found Taimur looking at her with contempt, she knew he hated her for hiding his daughter from him. If only she could tell him how much she hated herself.
His words " I wish I was the monster you think I am" cut through her heart like a sharp dagger.
She had always misjudged him, she had always hurt him, she was no better than his ex-fiance or was even worse.
They both were at fault. Eva had never acknowledged her feelings for him and Taimur had not hesitated once to send her back to her country packing, from Azmaayir.
Taimur had been good to her, even after finding out the truth about her. He had held her against her will but that was his nature. He was raised to think that he was the King and the whole world was his, to rule and treat as he wished.
He had never raped her, though she was with him for more than a month. Whatever happened between them was always consensual.
Only she would have been sensible enough to not keep fighting the feelings she had for him, they won't have been caught in this situation right now.
"I want you to leave", She heard him saying.
She looked at him alarmed, was he going to abandon her and her daughter, didn't he want anything to do with them.
Or, was he going to find Emma without involving her and then keep Emma with him forever?
Riyadh grabbed her arm as she was about to step out of his office,
" What happened?" He asked in concern, he had noticed she was crying.
Eva just looked at him with a blank expression and then turned and looked at Taimur, he didn't look pleased to see Riyadh holding her arm.
She politely removed Riyadh's hand from her arm and walked out.
As she left the building and hired a cab she remembered about Mateo, she had been out for hours and hadn't informed him.
She checked her cell phone in the bag, it was dead, Eva just took a deep breath. Now she had to face Mateo, how would she tell him what had happened?
How will Mateo react after knowing Taimur was the father of her child. It was going to be a complicated situation for both of them.
What was Taimur going to do? Would he really take Emma from her? How will she live without Emma? Her heart stopped even thinking about that.
Where could Emma be? And who could have taken her? If they really wanted to hurt Taimur they wouldn't think twice before hurting Emma.
If only she could go back in time and change everything, she will change her decision to accept the mission of spying on Taimur.
She had never regretted any decision in her life so much as she regretted letting Aalam and Stevens talk her into this mess.
