Time was passing, and it seemed the investigation into my almost-divorce fraud had stagnated - no one could find anything. Sabrina wouldn't stop tormenting me and was becoming increasingly persistent and intrusive. My father kept pressuring me to go to Bellwood almost every weekend, using the excuse that I had promised to support my brother in business. Manu wasn't foolish; although she was very calm and didn't pressure me, I knew she was watching, and sometimes she would ask what was going on, but I would dodge the question. In the midst of this chaos, there was also Henry and Samantha's wedding, which was full of excitement.

When the weekend came and Patrick invited us for a normal Sunday of barbecue and pool time at his house, I just wanted it to be a peaceful weekend with my little one and my friends. But that was asking too much.

"Can't you leave me in peace for even one day?" I said as I stepped away to answer a call from Sabrina. She had already sent several messages and even a nude photo trying to provoke me, but I only felt anger towards this woman - an anger that kept growing.

"I can't, darling. I need my hubby," she said in a whiny voice.

"I'm not yours anything, Sabrina. This farce you've created is about to end."

"Oh, is it? Look, you want to be left in peace? I'll leave you alone, but first, I want a farewell worthy of a wife."

"What are you trying to say?"

"Oh, Flavian, don't play innocent. Our hearing is coming up, I'll give you this damn divorce, but I want one last night of love with you." Sabrina had to be crazy.

"No way in hell! Not even if you were the last woman on Earth. Forget it," I replied, already thinking this was a bad joke.

"Suit yourself. If you won't give me the night I want, I'll talk to your little princess and tell her everything. And I'll tell her how much you love me, that you're just upset, but it will pass. After all, you're still married to me, aren't you? If you didn't love me, you would have gotten divorced already."

"That's an absurd lie, Sabrina!"

"Maybe, but she'll believe it. You know how convincing I can be. And you know what's going to happen? She'll believe me so completely that she won't want to see or hear from you. Then she'll leave you, and you'll find comfort in my arms, darling." Sabrina laughed as if gloating over her idea.

"I already warned you to stay away from her." I was furious.

"Oh, sweetie! Too late for that. You know where I am? I'm in our apartment, and when your little princess arrives, she'll find me here, and we'll have a nice little chat. I'll have the pleasure of throwing her out."

"You're a liar, Sabrina. Of course you're not in MY apartment." She was bluffing.

"Take a look at the photo I sent you." Sabrina was calm and confident.

I removed the phone from my ear and looked at the file she sent. That poisonous snake was inside my house, lying on my bed, half-naked. How did she get in there? How was this possible? I would kill whoever let her in.
