CHAPTER 19 - EDITED

NOT A CHANCE

HARRY'S POV

Wait, did I hear it right?

Another TV guesting an hour from now?

"But we weren't informed about that." I complained.

Liam and Zayn moved their heads to me with worried eyes.

"They forgot to put it on your schedule. Come along now. We don't wanna be late. Hurry up and eat lunch then you'll go there afterwards." She informs us which makes me really angry whenever they try to put things in our schedule which aren’t planned in the first place.

Caroline walked away and left me devastated because now I have to change all my own plans for this stupid cooking show. But I know I have to follow their plans for the band. I was so excited to see her and I was pumped up to end this TV guesting but now here comes another one which was unannounced to us and how it really pisses me off that I have to cancel my date with Lindy.

"What you gonna do Harry? I mean you can't miss your date with Lindy." Liam said.

"Yeah, what about her?" Zayn asked.

I sighed. I wanted to meet her up at Nando's so bad and I don’t want her to think that I am not serious about meeting her when this has all I have ever wanted to happen.

“Fuck.” I cursed disappointedly. "I have no choice but to do this fucking cooking show. God damn it." I muttered angrily.

"Boys! What are you still standing there? Come hurry up!" Caroline yelled back at us.

I stared at her angrily and I know it is not Caroline’s fault but I am still so angry that I am missing my chance to see Lindy.

"Let's go mate." Liam says to me while patting my shoulder.

We followed Caroline and head out of the TV station and I was not even interested to follow them and where we are heading to. We went to this fancy restaurant and had lunch together while I sat here wanting to be in Nando’s to see Lindy. Lindy has been in my head since I met her and I am still so angry how I was not able to see her. They were chatting up about how they get excited for this unplanned guesting on a cooking show. Niall was obviously the most excited, but I just sat there eating quietly and I wasn't quite interested.

LINDY'S POV

I sat down on a table in Nando's with Button next to me, looking all cute in her pink bowtie. I was waiting for Harold to come before ordering something. Actually, I am almost freaking out. I'm really excited to know him now that I am kind of interested on him. Crazy huh? At first I thought he was a forty year old pervert which turned out to be the guy I am starting to... Like?

He was funny, cheeky, playful, such a tease and he makes me feel good about myself. Plus, he's flirty, and really patient too. Maybe at first I was overacting but it's how sarcastic he is that makes him so easy to talk to. He has this deep manly and raspy voice when he talks to me over the phone, he constantly annoy me, he texts me bunch of sweet things, he's not shy to say he missed me and he calls me babe. I like it when he calls me that.

Despite the fact that he already saw me on my pictures and how a loser I am cos I look like a nerd, he still calls me beautiful. He is a really nice guy and he is not so difficult to love.

Wait. Did I just say love? I can't be in love over this guy who I've known for just a week that I haven't even seen his face yet. Lindy, what's wrong with you? Your crush was Jake right?

Then I suddenly remembered Harold calling Jake a dog from Adventure Time that made me chuckle at my seat. I was getting nervous as I stare at my watch, it's already twelve fifteen.

He's late.

"Are you Miss Lindy?"

A guy called out to me. I slowly moved my head up to see this tall and buff guy standing right in front of my holding two paper bags. I nodded at him. He sat down right across me.

Whoa, wait he's Harold?! I was fooled the whole time? He's an adult and looked like a married man! Oh my god Lindy! YOU ARE GROSS!

"You're Harold?" I asked in disbelief.

"No Miss Lindy. I'm Paul." He said.

I exhaled being relieved.

"Then where is he?" I asked.

"Harold couldn't come to meet you today because he had an urgent meeting. He said he was sorry he couldn't come."

"Oh.." Those were just the word that came out my mouth.

I feel so disappointed. I was even looking forward on meeting him and having lunch with him but turned out that he couldn't come today. I sighed.

Suddenly, this guy named Paul placed my iPhone on the table and pushed it to me. I was surprised! My iPhone now has a casing. Oh my gosh! It's the casing that I've always wanted to buy but it was too expensive. Did Harold buy it for me? I moved my head up to Paul.

"Actually, these are for you too. This red paper bag is for your mom, Harold said it's his belated birthday present to her. And this pink one is for you." He said.

I stared at the stuff in front of me but I was not happy seeing these or the fact that I have finally had my phone back and this expensive casing. I wanted to see Harold.

"His phone?" He asked.

"Oh! Right." I snapped.

I hurriedly pulled his phone out from my pocket and handed it to Paul.

"Um, I can't take all of these gifts he's giving me. It's too much." I said to him.

"Please, take them. Harold will be very happy to know you got them and he'll be mad at me if you won't take them along with you." He insists.

He works for Harold? How rich is this 22 year old man that an adult works for him?

"Before you go, please give this one to Harold. Tell him it's the pasta I made yesterday." I told him.

"Oh I will definitely hand this to him." He responded while grabbing the container.

"Thanks."

"Then I better get going now. It was good to see you Miss Lindy. Have a good day." He said as he stood up from his seat and walked away.

I watch him leave the door and walk out of Nando's. I stared at my phone, it's finally back. I held it in my hand and gosh the casing just made me happy. It was a case filled with Swarovski. It was really girly and sparkly that I fell in love with it when I first saw it. But I didn't get to buy it cos it was $239.00 and my mom wouldn't let me buy it.

I stared at the two paper bags in front of me. I pulled the red one close to me and opened it. I was surprised to see that it was a Givenchy Dahlia Divin Fragrance. Oh Harold you didn't have to buy this expensive gift for us. Finally, I pulled the one which was mine. I got the box out of the paper bag and it was the newest Victoria's Secret Eau So Sexy perfume.

I just sat here feeling happy and disappointed at the same time. I didn't see Harold, again. I sighed while ordering up for my lunch.

When I got home, I saw Avery again on the couch watching TV. I moved my head to the screen and well of course, it was the One Direction boys again on this cooking show. I entered the house and closed the door behind me. I walked to the foyer and took a pause behind the couch where Avery was sitting. The boys were being interviewed by the talk show host. Actually, I love watching this cooking show because I'd know dishes from time to time.

"Why does Harry look sad and not interested today?" Avery muttered to herself.

I stare at the long haired curly guy and realized that he does look serious.

"Whatevs, he's still my bae." Avery added.

Harry didn't talk much on the whole interview and just sat down there on the couch with the other boys looking all happy to be on the show. It kind of gotten boring, for me because I'm not a fan, so I went to the kitchen and looked for my mom.

"Mom." I called out to her.

She snapped her head back at me, "What?! No! You're gonna stay here. What if I get thirsty or hungry? Who's gonna buy me something? Will you be smart enough Lindy?"

My jaws dropped. “Are you serious?”

“Yes, now stay.”

Oh if you weren't my twin, I could've choked you now. As I looked around, I already had a giraffe neck looking at the long line and I swear it is going to take us forever to meet the men of her dreams.

First of all, What did I get myself into?

Second, why am I lining up when I am not even a fan?

And third, I can't do anything but wait for Avery.

I sigh heavily still feeling pissed that Harold ditched me when we were suppose to meet. He hasn’t even informed me about it nor he has not texted me since then. If I knew he will do this, I wouldn’t have had set my hopes up for that guy.

"Oh my god I can't wait to meet them personally. I. Am. So. Excited." Avery started going crazy that she's talking to herself on the mirror.

Finally, the line was moving. Oh great, just two steps and a few more to go. Can I just disappear and go back home where I can mourn about being stood up by Harold?

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and still no text from him! Unbelievable! Is he really that insensitive or is he really... Ugh! Whatever Harold.

After waiting for almost two hours or maybe three because I have lost the ability to pull my arm up and look at my watch. we finally got closer to the guys. Thank God I can finally see them, well their hairs exactly. My knees were getting numb and my calves are shaking from standing in this long queue for something that I didn’t even signed up for. I am really tired but Avery here kept retouching her make up and pushing her boobs up to show her cleavage.

Seriously, are we really even twins?

At last! It was finally Avery's turn.

She started grabbing my arm, well technically I have all the things she needs that the boys are gonna sign on. Her CDs, posters, this scrapbook, and much of other stuff. I wonder why I even allowed her to drag me into this when I am not even a fan of this boyband.

Avery started walking towards this guy who's name probably starts with Li. I think it's Liam, then next was this blondy who's name is Niall for sure because Martha loves him to death, then this messy haired guy called Lewis? Louise something? And...

Oh my gosh it's Zayn!!

Oh my gosh! Stay cool, it's just Zayn! Stay cool Lindy. I stare at his face and he holy freaking God look so handsome! Then that curly haired one on the last who looked so serious and gloomy again with knitted brows in the middle of her forehead looking unhappy to be here in this venue when he’s suppose to be happy to see his fans.

"Oh my God Hi Liam!" Avery started fangirling and giggling while pulling me.

Liam smiled at Avery while signing up the CD. They exchanged conversations that I didn’t listen to because I kept glancing at Zayn and reminded mysel that this man was engaged then we walked to Niall and did the same thing then with Louis and then Zayn was next..

He smiled at me, I think.

"Hi." Zayn greeted while staring at me and his eyes… Holy Lord, his eyes!

I'm melting!

I can’t breathe! I don’t even think I am breathing.

"Hi." I blushed.

Then there’s that long haired guy who moved his head towards us.
