CHAPTER 53
LAST DAYS
HARRY'S POV
I stand there as she closed the door before me. I was so worried out of my mind for her.
What if she'll collapse inside the bathroom? What if she's having massive stomach ache? Bloody hell, what if she was pregnant and got miscarriage because of stress? I walked in circles as I waited for her to come out. I started biting my fingernails and the longer I wait, the more I become more panicky and this was not good at all.
Please, I don't want her to have miscarriage. I'd rather have her pregnant than hearing her having a miscarriage.
"Oh my god!" She shrieked.
I hurriedly walked near the door and knocked. "Baby what's wrong?" I asked.
I knocked continuously but she didn't answer me. I knocked again. "Lindy! Open up now! I'm getting worried of you!" I exclaimed, forgetting that we were in public.
"I'm alright. I just have it."
I paused.
"You have what?" I asked.
"It." She answered timidly.
"What do you mean by it?" I asked again.
I hear her sigh. "I have my period today Harold. I'm on my period." She explains.
I was taken aback and felt relieved. "I thought she had miscarriage." I mumbled to myself.
"You thought I had what?" She asked.
She heard me saying that?
"Nothing. Wanna come out any minute now?"
She didn't answer.
"Lindy.." I knocked.
"I don't have it."
"What? What's with these it you're telling me? I don't get it."
She didn't answer again.
"Lindy." I knocked.
"I didn't bring any sanitary pad!" She exclaimed.
Two old women passed by and stared at me and I looked away shyly.
"I need to go home." She tells me while opening the door.
I faced her. "You look pale." I muttered.
"I'm having dysmenorrhea."
I wiped the sweat on her forehead with the sleeve of my jacket. "What do you usually use?"
"Use for what?"
"You said you didn't bring any pad and I don't want you to get stain on our way home. I'll buy you some. So what do you usually use?" I asked again.
She paused. "But you're a guy." She blurted.
"I'm your boyfriend. I need to take care of you and make sure you're alright."
She slightly smiled at me. "Just any brand with wings." She blurted.
"With what?”
“Wings.”
“Is that written outside the package?"
She nodded.
"Don't you wanna use tampon?" I asked.
"No. I haven't tried that." She answers awkwardly.
"Okay. Wait here. I'll run as fast as I can." I kissed her hair.
"Don't get caught."
"I won't. Hopefully, I won't." I ran away and looked for a convenient store nearby.
With wings... With wings.. I kept repeating that on my head.
Finally, I reached a store and tinhaled some confidence in before heading inside. I hope I won't get noticed by anyone as long as I keep myself low profile. I began to look for pads.
Sanitary pads...
Sanitary pads...
Nope, that's not a sanitary pad.
Sanitary pads...
Sanitar-
Ah! There it is!
I walked to it when suddenly I noticed two teenage girls were beside me and staring at me. I fixed my sunglasses and just stood there staring at the piles of pads. Fuck.
"Reach for it Harold. Go on." I thought to myself.
"Excuse me? Are you Harry Styles?" The girl finally asked, as she looked sure of what's gonna be my answer. How the hell did she know I am Harry? I am wearing a fucking mask.
Bloody hell.
I turned my head to her. "Harry who?" I asked using the best American accent I could ever do.
"Harry Styles from One Direction?" Another one asked.
I cleared my throat. "My name's Arnold." I answered while grabbing the pad quickly.
Arnold. Really Harry. Devon or Tyler could've been a better name.
"Ow... Are you going to buy that for your girlfriend?" One asked, while they glanced at each other with smiles on their faces.
I paused. "Y-yeah... She's having it today." I answered.
"Awwwe, what a sweet boyfriend. She's so lucky." One mumbled.
"Have a good day ladies." I said to them and rushed to the counter.
As soon as I bought it, I saw from behind the cashier that they were also selling medicines.
"Excuse me, what do you usually use for dysmenorrhea?" I asked.
The old woman pulled her eyeglass down and stared at me while raising her eyebrow.
"Oh! I'm... I'm not the one who's gonna use it. My girlfriend is having her period and I don't know what she usually drinks for pain reliever." I tell her.
She got one medicine and placed it inside the brown bag. I ran to these pile of boxes of water and grabbed one. As soon as I paid everything, I ran back to the park and rushed my way to the public bathroom where I left Lindy.
"Lindy?" I asked.
I knocked. The door swings open.
"Baby here." I tell her while giving the bag and she looked absolutely pale.
"Did you get caught?" she says still worrying about me even if she was already dying in pain. Her lips looked really pale and looked very sick.
I shook my head sideway.
She sort of smiled at me. "Thank you for this.”
She was sweating even more and looked terrible, but still beautiful. "Pads with wings, there's a medicine inside too and a bottled water."
"You're the best." She said before closing the door.
I waited for her patiently until I saw a pap passing by, I hurriedly turned my back around and faced the door. I panicked even though I know I just have to relax. "Shit. Don't let me get caught."
The door finally opened. "How do you feel?" I asked.
"A little fine. My stomach just hurt so badly."
"Let's take you home." I said.
I hailed a taxi and got inside as we rode back to her house. As soon as we arrived, I helped her walking along the foyer and helped her get on the couch. I noticed that nobody was still around and if I leave her like this, who will take care of her then?
"What time does Avery usually comes home?" I asked.
"Probably seven or eight. She's busy with their cheerleading practice."
I walked my way to the kitchen and prepared something for her which I hope would be helpful. After a while, I went back to the living room and knelt down in front of her. I started unbuttoning her pants and unzipping her and she looked worried.
"Harry what are you doing? I'm on my period. I can't do it right now. Menstrual cramps, remember?" She asked.
I chuckle and answered, "I found these heat pads, I remember my sister usually use stuff like these so you should use them. I've made you some tea too, better drink it while it's hot."
I helped her sit down on the couch when suddenly I saw her mom entering the living room.
"Oh my god what's wrong with my daughter?" She asked while rushing her way beside Lindy.
"Lindy, we're not letting you drink. You're underage." Louis calls out.
"Louis' right.” Liam adds. “As your older brothers, we are not allowing you to drink. Here's a juice that’s non-alcoholic.”
She chuckles, "I'm 18. I'm on legal age." She defended herself which by the way is very wrong because 21 is suppose to be legal age and Louis disagrees with her. She stared at me, blinking her eyes and I didn’t know what she was doing or if she was being cute or not.
"What?" I asked.
"You'd let me drink, right?" She asked back.
"But are you sure you want to drink?" I asked her.
"I want to."
I smiled at her, "Alright. I'm here anyways, I can look after you. But, you're on your period.. Remember?" My voice faded as I stare at her.
"It lasted yesterday." She winked.
I smirked at her and how wonderful it felt knowing her period already finished. I know she knows what I meant with my smile and I can tell she’s eager too.
“Lindy, we are not going to allow you to drink that much.” Niall calls out as he grabbed a can and opening it before handing it to Lindy.
“We’re your older brothers so we must be good role models.” Louis raised his can. “Cheers for Lindy’s first time getting wasted!”
All of us laughed and raised out cans of beers to. Lindy rests her head over my shoulder and smiled at me before we take a long sip from our alcohol.
“But you must know that you should not drink a lot okay?” Zayn calls out to Lindy saying it to her very brotherly.
Lindy nods, “Okay. I promise.”
I smile at Zayn.
"Why are you guys drinking anyway?" she asked before taking a drink.
"We wanted to enjoy being here before we leave.” Louis answered for me. “We haven't had this kind of drinking session for a long time now and I think it’s best to do it today.”
"Oh.” Her voice sounded sad but I know she was trying her best to hide it. I realized that I was not able to tell her about it yet, “So when are you guys leaving?"
"This Sunday.” Liam answers before sipping his beer. “So the two of you should make the most of your time together because we're gonna be really busy."
I moved to her and kissed her hair as she tells me, "Great, because I told my mom I'll be out for the weekend with you."
"That excites me." I tell her while squeezing her hips a little. “I am happy that she allowed you.”
"You guys should spend it together like there's no tomorrow. We'll be away for months." Niall says as a matter-of-factly and it makes me sad just thinking about it.
"Ow, now Harry looks sad." Louis pouted with puppy eyes.
Lindy moved her head to me with her sad eyes too and a weak smile on her face.
"Of course I am. Who wouldn't be sad being away for a few months with your girl? But I'm sure we'll work things out." I winked at her.
She giggles softly.
"Then let's make a toast. For Harry and Lindy's relationship. Cheers!" Louis exclaimed out.
We made a toast and continued drinking our beers and vodkas which were all ordered by Louis. Liam had ordered some foods for us to eat. After my first can, I grabbed another one and took a quick drink from it. Zayn started playing some club mixes that made the place louder turning it into a club while he smokes with Louis in a corner. As they continued drinking, I grabbed Lindy away from them and we walked to the balcony before I carefully looked around if there was a pap or a fan but there was none. I made sure her face was not seen as I stare at her.
"What are we doing here?" She asked.
"I want you all to myself." I tell her selfishly while wrapping my arms around her as she faces me.
"Well, you have me all weekend Harry." She smiles.
I leaned closer to her and kissed her lips slowly.
"Hmm, taste like beer." I teased.
She laughs while hugging me, "Harry?" She called out.
"Yeah?"
"No matter where you go, promise me I'll be the only girl you'll love okay?"
I smiled and tightened my arms around her and I know she is worried about these women who are surrounding me yet I hate when she thinks like that. "I don't need to promise you because you'll always be the only girl I will love."
She pulled her head away and tells me, "There'll be lots and lots of other pretty women trying to get your attention."
"Yes I know.”
She frowns and it makes me laugh, “But you'll always be my number one."
She smiles at me. I leaned over to her and kissed her lips again so passionately and I can never get tired kissing her lips and telling her how much I love her. Out in a spur of moment, I noticed a flash and it certainly came from a camera. I didn’t know where it was coming, but it literally came out of nowhere from the darkness below us. I looked over the balcony and saw no one and I didn’t like that. I certainly know it was not lightning from the sky and I began to feel a little scared.
"We better go inside." I tell Lindy, trying to act normal.
I pulled her hand and walked inside quickly as we joined the boys again who were now playing cards while drinking their alcohol.
I was still bothered about the flash that caught my attention.
