CHAPTER 72

TRUCE

LINDY’S POV

“Just days ago, you bravely shut the entire media with your initial interview when they all crowded you the moment you left school.” Jimmy says out.

I nod, “It was crazy because I was so nervous that time.”

“But you handled it in a very great way. I mean, you were able to shut down those people.”

I smiled proudly.

“As far as everyone knows, Harry Styles just released a statement about you in their recent interview and the entire world wants to know how have you been coping up?” Jimmy asks.

I breathe out nervously, “I mean after going out in public like that with him, it caused a major change in my life and I think he didn’t have any idea what was going on with me. Majorly, the entire attention in school was on me and people were hating me because of it. I was bullied for days even after the release of his statement.”

“That’s just awful.”

I nod, “It is. I was pretty much handling everything by myself with the help of my bestfriend. I was literally on the verge of quitting school because the bullying was too much to handle. My best friend has always been so supportive of me and I couldn’t ask for anyone else aside from her.”

Jimmy smiles, “That’s truly wonderful to hear Lindy. I mean, you should not let anyone bully you because you’re very beautiful and very much getting everything on your own bravely.”

“Thank you.” I smiled. “I mean it’s getting pretty worst because of the media and the paps following me around and more people hating me even though they didn’t really know what was going on behind the camera. Behind everything.”

"We would love to hear all of it Lindy, can you tell us about everything that has been going on because all of his fans wants to know what's the real deal with you and Harry." Jimmy asks in the most polite way possible.

I glance at Martha and she just smiled at me as Jimmy continues, "Fans have been giving out negative comments about you lately, they bash you on Twitter and Instagram saying that you used him for fame. How do you feel about that? Are any of those true?”

"I think I cannot really stop people from talking about me and from hating me. Harry knows what's the answer to that. I don't need to explain myself to anyone just to please them.”

Martha throws me a two thumbs up and I smiled.

"I don't need…” I trailed off as I look back at my screen. “To explain myself to those people who doesn't know me and who are not willing to know me. I no longer care what people say about me because it’s their opinion and the only way to not get hurt is to void out those thoughts so it does not mentally and emotionally hurt me.”

“That’s beautiful.” Jimmy smiles.

“I know myself better than anyone does and as long as I have the right people by my side who are important to me then I am fine." I added.

“That’s really amazing Lindy. I mean despite everything that is going on with you and I am sure you’re all very much new to these things and interview, you handle it so maturely.”

“Thank you.”

"Now tell us about your experience that day when you two went strolling around Canada. How did it feel to actually be there? Did you think it meant anything to Harry or not?”

I purse my lips, "I'm not gonna tell the entire world about that because it's gonna be a part of me I wanted to forget. It meant something to me when we were there and I don’t know about Harry.”

“It must have been hard for you.” He sounded concerned.

I nod, “Yeah it was. Dealing with everything on my own. I mean you know, the media take a good normal person's life and privacy away, sprinkle it with some pretty dirty lies and turn it into their own little TV show so you can sell it to the magazines and make money from all these filthy lies these guys make up just for fame. And it is crazy how people are doing all this just for money.”

“What can you say about Harry Styles?” Jimmy’s eyes felt sincere.

I tried to answer as calm as I can. "Harry's so talented.” I answer honestly. “And he's very successful. He's in that worldwide known boy-band who sings to their millions of fans but I don’t understand why the media try to tear him down so easily in public. I don’t understand wh they do you do these things to them? To him? It’s insane how it sounds okay for people to step on your pride.”

“You are absolutely right Lindy. I guess it works like that in this industry.”

“I bet none of his fans or people who does not belong to the fandom know that he has to give up all the best things in his life. His privacy for instance. His freedom. And him being honest to what he really feels or if he really was being real." I bit my cheek as I exhaled.

"I guess kudos and congratulations to all of these people scrutinizing his name because now they have got a new story to tell and sell about the great Harry Styles." I added.

Jimmy smiles, “I admire you for your honesty and bravery Lindy. What else can you say to those people who are in control?”

“Well they’ve finally created a perfect and stunning worldwide famous billion dollar liar with a ruined human being inside of him. All these freaking lies for fame." I smiled calmly. “Allof the people trying to scrutinize someone else’s reputation and name should be ashamed of themselves. I can't believe you can easily take away somebody else's happiness." I bluntly said every word with all anger in me.

“Do you think this was righteous?”

"No. It was highly iniquity forcing one person to lie over something that could kill two birds with one stone. I wonder how they dealt with the blackmailing and bribery in that matter." I was in rage and not carrying if I was saying bad things about

"But did you really date Harry? Were you really both in a relationship or just a fling? Or--"

"Call it whatever but to me it was merely nothing." My heart broke.

I glanced at Martha as I try so hard to choke a sob and hold back a tear. "Like what Harry said, it was all nothing important. No, I'm not dating Harry Styles. We never dated or have been to a serious relationship. We were never in a relationship at all. Like what he said, I was just someone he wanted around and maybe he was someone I just wanted around too.”

“That’s very brutal but I admire you for your bravery for speaking up for yourself. What do you think now when you hear people say his name?”

“He's a great liar, he's good at that.” I say while curling my fists into balls.

“Wow that’s straight up!” Jimmy jokes while laughing.

I smiled, “I don't regret calling him a liar in public because he is. He knows he is. I am not doing this for fame or for wanting attention or for anything else but I am standing up for myself with all the bullying and hating I have been getting from school and everyone else on social media who seems to have always something to say when they do not even know me."

"That’s truly a wonderful inspiration Lindy. Nobody really likes being bullied and you are a very strong woman for getting through all these stuff on your own. I bet everyone in their homes are touched by this raw honesty you are giving us.”

“Thank you Jimmy.”

“So what can you comment about the Harry and Paige issue that just recently went out, now that they've been dating again?"Jimmy asks which hurt me straight to my heart.w

I paused as I try to choke in a sob, "That’s the least of my concern. I am not going to sit here wasting my time on a man who’s best in lying. I hope she treats him better than he treated me."

"Burn.” He laughs and it makes me smile too. “Just one more question before we let you go.”

I nod.

“In your own opinion, who is Harry Styles?"
