He helped his daughter shower and dressed her up in a pink sundress. Lily brushed her teeth and wore a pair of pink slippers as Siddarth combed her hair. Today, he had to go grocery shopping and Siddarth was taking Zane and Lily along with him. His daughter convinced the human last night to go with them and Zane couldn't say no to her adorable pouty face. The wolf finished dressing his daughter up and led her downstairs. They went to the dining table and saw it already set up with three plates full of and bacon, toast, and scrambled eggs. Zane was dressed in an oversized hoodie and black jeans. He was in the kitchen getting juice when the two greeted him. The elder gave a polite reply back and sat down with them. The two adults ate silently while listening to Lily's brave adventures that she went on. Breakfast went by quickly and the wolf cleaned up the table with Zane. Once everything was neat, Siddarth picked up his car keys and they went to the garage.

Siddarth opened the door for his daughter and helped her with the seatbelt. Zane sat in the passenger seat as the younger man entered the driver's seat. There wasn't much traffic so it didn't take time to reach the livelier part of the city. Fifteen minutes later, they entered the streets again. People were everywhere, couples with their children, and some walking their cute dogs. The vehicle entered a plaza and Zane saw a large store. Siddarth parked his Dodge and they got out. Lily held Zane's hand and they walked to the entrance as the wolf scanned the area for any danger. They entered the large store to see only a few people wandering inside. Zane was pulled to the fruits section by the little girl as Siddarth went to get a cart. Lily walked to the boxes of strawberries and made grabby hands.

"I want strawberries!" The elder looked for the fresher one and handed the box to the child.

"Yummy!" The wolf came back with a cart and watched the two shop.

Zane had made a list on his phone for all the ingredients he needed to cook delicious dishes for the two. Siddarth picked up his cub and helped her reach high rows full of snacks. They were almost done shopping but something was remaining. Zane went to the seasoning section and the two followed. There was a candy aisle facing the seasoning one and the little girl pulled Siddarth to it. The wolf scanned Zane's surroundings silently as his daughter picked up more snacks. All of a sudden, a young man showed up to the aisle and began talking with the human.

Siddarth stared at the human who had a polite smile on his face. The wolf stayed still at first but when he sensed discomfort in Zane's sweet scent, he grabbed Lily's hand gently and walked forward. The elder seemed to be saying no to the man who was wanting something from him. The stranger pulled out his phone and tried to hand it to Zane. Siddarth walked up to them and stood in front of the angel, blocking him from the other man.

"Got what you needed?"

"S-Siddart-"

Before the human could say a word, they were cut off by the stranger. "Hey man, can't you see I'm talking to him?"
