Getting dressed, I quickly looked over at Emily and saw that she was still sound asleep. Putting on my clothes, I grabbed my phone off the bed and saw that it was five in the morning. Going to sit at the edge of the bed, I gently move her hair before kissing her on the forehead. Getting up, I grabbed my shoes before quietly opening the door and closing it behind me. Exiting her apartment building, I got inside my car and drove home. When I had arrived, I saw that no one was up and the hall was dark. Feeling my way around the room, I got a hold of the railing before climbing the stairs to my bedroom. Laying down in bed, I closed my eyes and before you know it, I was waking up to the sun shining on my face.

Groaning out loud, I sat up before running a hand over my face. I felt completely drained. I don't know if it was the fact that Emily had tired me out last night or the fact that I had gotten up earlier than I'm used to. Pushing myself off the bed, I went straight to the bathroom where I showered and brush my teeth before emerging an hour later. Going into my closet, I picked out a suit. Black slacks, white shirt, and black tie with a black jacket and my black shoes to complete the outfit.

Getting dressed, I head downstairs and was greeted by the smell of bacon, pancakes, waffles, and eggs. Before I could say anything, Sophie placed a hot steaming plate in front of me, along with coffee. Smiling up at her, I kissed her on the cheek before I began eating. I was joined later by my dad and James who was busy debating about golf. Shaking my head at them, they tried to put me in the middle of their conversation but I wasn't having it. Instead, I finished eating, grabbed my stuff, bid them goodbye then I was out the door and then into my car.

Being the first to arrive at work, I made my way to my office. Throwing everything down on the sofa, I went to sit at my desk and tried to collect my thoughts. It has been two months and James and I still didn't come up with any leads on how had attacked Emily and me back in Paris and why is this person stalking her. As time went by, I could see the employees slowly trickling in, and as soon as they settled in they began working. A minute past nine, I could hear her heels clicking mercilessly against the tile as she hurriedly makes her way to her office. Opening the door, I heard there was shuffling then it was followed completely by silence and then the turning of the doorknob as she opened the door and enter.

Flopping down on the sofa, she crossed her legs, bid me good morning before she opened her notebook, and started giving me dates along with details.

"Mr. Moore will be here tomorrow for that meeting, I just saw his confirmation email. You have a charity event to attend next week and lastly, you have a meeting with the finance department the week after." Nodding my head at everything she just said, I looked over at her and saw that she was really frazzled out.

"Why don't you take an hour to take or walk or something you seem really stressed." Looking up at me, she smiled before she got up and came up to me. Grabbing me by my shirt collar, she kissed me on my lips, slowly before she breathed thank you against them. Smiling at her, she let me go before walking away. Burying my head back into my work, I continued to look over some files. An hour later, Emily re-entered my office and she was looking more relaxed than she was when she first came in. Handing me my favorite turkey sandwich, I flashed her a grin before I thanked her.

"I thought you might be hungry so I brought your favorite." Unwrapping it, I began to eat it as she helped me go over some of the documents that I had in front of me. "So, what are you planning to do when you meet Mr. Moore?" she asked as she flipped through the pages of his portfolio and circle what she thinks I should know about him for the meeting that we have on Wednesday.
