Chapter 126
Maggie touched her nose, “I accidentally glanced at the data they brought over.”
Having a good memory had its perks.
Johnny’s mood lightened, “Then let’s go back and replicate it.”
“Sure.”
He said, pulling him into the car.
After the test drive, half an hour had passed.
Franklin said, “Thanks for your hard work today. Shall we all go eat together later?”
Rex: “Sure.”
Johnny: “…”
He pursed his lips and said indifferently, “Sorry, we’re busy. You all go ahead, we have other matters to attend to.”
Franklin, seeing this, said, “In that case, we’ll do it next time.”
He then said to the general manager, “Please send Mr. Gray and Miss Miller off.”
The general manager quickly responded, “Yes.”
Miss Miller…
Johnny pursed his lips, and internally scoffed, as he left with Maggie ahead of the others.
Yves lowered his voice and said to Rex, “I feel like Johnny really doesn’t like President Wilson and the others.”
Rex had already noticed this during their previous encounter.
At first, he thought it was just his imagination, thinking that Johnny’s personality was simply like that.
But now, it seemed he wasn’t overthinking.
After leaving Wilson Tech, Johnny was still upset when he got into the car.
As if recalling something, he asked Maggie, “By the way, who was that girl standing behind Julia, dressed in a business suit? 1 saw her look at you with a rather unfriendly gaze. Do you know her?”
Maggie: “Julia’s cousin.”
Johnny:”

Franklin invited Julia to Wilson Tech, and now he’s even bringing Julia’s family into Wilson Tech? At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilson Tech changes its name to Brown soon.*
Maggie thought the same.
She said. “Mm.”
Given Franklin’s love for Julia, it wouldn’t be surprising if he gave Wilson Tech to her.
Having the Green family members work at Wilson Tech? Not a big deal.
Johnny felt he shouldn’t continue the conversation. The more he spoke, the angrier he’d get.
That evening, in order to replicate Franklin’s company’s car engine condition,
Maggie and Johnny didn’t get home until late.
On the way back, it began to snow.
When they got home, Maggie was about to head to the bathroom for a shower when her phone rang.
It was a call from Franklin.
Maggie didn’t answer; she grabbed her clothes and went into the bathroom.
When she came out and checked her phone, she saw that Franklin had called twice, and seeing that she didn’t answer, he sent
a text message informing her that Isabella’s parent–teacher meeting was tomorrow.
Maggie saw this and replied with a few words: “I’m not available tomorrow.”
Then, she put her phone down and ignored it.
On the other side, Franklin was busy. Isabella was playing with Franklin’s phone when he saw Maggie’s reply.
He cheerfully said, “Dad, Mom said she’s not available tomorrow. Does that mean I can have Aunt Julie go to the parent–teacher meeting for me?”
Franklin didn’t look up, replying with a casual “Mm.”
“Yay, awesome!”
Isabella jumped up from the sofa, happily dancing with his hands flailing about.
Franklin said, “Dad will go tomorrow too.”
Isabella: “I know, if Aunt Julie is going, of course Dad has to go too!”
The next day.
Maggie was at work at Cole, talking to Simon about work when her phone suddenly buzzed.
It was a message from Isabella’s homeroom teacher: “Isabella’s mom, are you coming to the parent–teacher meeting today?”

Chapter 126
Maggie saw it and replied: “I have other matters, I won’t be going.”
A little while later, the homeroom teacher sent another message: “Today, Isabella’s dad and another woman came to the
meeting…”
They even sent her a picture.
In the photo, Franklin and Julia were sitting together, with Isabella sitting next to Julia, intimately hugging her arm.
Franklin and Julia attending the school’s parent–teacher meeting didn’t surprise Maggie.
After all, Isabella couldn’t wait for her not to attend, so he had Julia take her place.
Since Julia was going to represent her, how could Franklin let her go alone?
Worried about her, the homeroom teacher sent a follow–up: “I’m concerned, but don’t worry, Mrs. Wilson. Thank you,
Teacher.”
Putting her phone down, Maggie continued with her work.
Busy times always pass quickly.
Before she knew it, it was Friday.
Early in the morning, before Maggie had even gotten up, Harry’s phone call came in again, saying that Daisy wanted to go camping.
Maggie paused: “Overnight camping?”
“Yeah.” Harry said, “Don’t worry, I’ll have people ensure your safety. I’ll prepare sleeping bags, tents, and heaters. You just need to come over.”
“Okay.”
Saturday afternoon, she went home to eat with her family, checked on the situation with the new project, and felt at ease.
Around 2 p.m., she drove out to the campsite.
When she arrived, Harry and Daisy were just arriving as well.
Harry’s people were setting up tents and the barbecue grill.
It had been snowing for the past few days, and the mountain was covered with snow. Daisy wanted to build a snowman with
her.
She used to build snowmen with Isabella when it snowed heavily.
When she arrived, Daisy came over and pulled her to help build a snowman.
Building snowmen wasn’t difficult for Maggie.
Before long, they had made a small snowman.

Daisy even prepared a scarf for the snowman. After finishing, she ran to ask the servants to get a scarf and a carrot for the
snowman.
Harry walked over to Maggie.
When she saw him, she didn’t speak.
Harry squatted down beside her and asked, “You started working at Cole?”
‘Maggie, still adjusting the snowman, didn’t look up: “Mm.”
Remembering how indifferent she had been when she met Franklin and Julia last time, he asked, “When did you start?”
Maggie: “It’s been a while.”
Harry wanted to ask more, but seeing that Maggie didn’t want to discuss it, he stopped himself and said, “Five times in total.”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
