Chapter 155
Maggie immediately understood that the person he was referring to was Franklin.
Maggie nodded. “Yes.”
Her posture and the way she was absorbed in her book were indeed very similar to Franklin’s.
It wasn’t their appearance that was similar, but the way they focused on something.
Suddenly, Harry realized that, in some ways, Maggie and Franklin were very much alike. Both of them Joved the same subject, which was finance,
Thinking about it, they probably would get along well.
However…
As he thought about their marriage, Harry’s gaze darkened slightly.
People said that Maggie had used underhanded tactics to force Franklin into marriage.
He used to believe that wholeheartedly.
But after interacting with her a few times, he realized that she wasn’t that type of person.
Her thoughts dim to be so complicated.
After dinner, the yacht was ready to return to port.
By the end of the day, Xavier, Hugo, and Daisy had become quite familiar with each other.
They weren’t nervous around Harry anymore. When it was time to leave, Xavier waved to him and shid, “See you next time, Harry.”
Harry nodded, his eyes lingering on Maggie as he said, “See you next time.”
“See you,” Maggie replied.
After saying their goodbyes, she got into the car and left without looking back.
Back at the Miller family home, after she went upstairs, Hugo excitedly shared with Old Madam Miller

what had happened that day.

When they learned that the person Maggie had made plans with was Harry, Old Madam Miller was very
surprised.
After all, Harry and Franklin had grown up together as friends, and Maggie had never been particularly close to him before. How could things have suddenly changed…?
Jason, however, said, “I was wondering why the Becker family suddenly reached out to me about collaborating. Recently, Harry Becker has been very friendly toward me. So it seems…”
Helen added, “So it seems like it’s true, then?”
Old Madam Miller, who knew Maggie well, said, “Mag hasn’t officially divorced yet. I don’t think she has
any particular intentions in this regard. Let’s just go with the flow and not interfere too much.”
“I understand,” they all replied.
The next morning, after waking up at the Miller family home, Maggie had just finished breakfast when her phone rang.
It was a call from Franklin.
Maggie saw the caller ID but didn’t answer.
Instead, Franklin sent a message: “Tomorrow is the parent–child event at Isabella’s school. Don’t forget to
come.”
Maggie saw the message and replied: “I’m not available.”
Franklin called again.
Maggie didn’t answer and turned off her phone.
After finishing her work, she turned her phone back on and saw a message from Franklin: “Are you at
the Miller family home?”
Though it was just a few words, Maggie understood that he was implying he would come over to the Miller house if she didn’t respond.
Maggie tightened her grip on her phone and sent a reply: “What time does it start?”
Franklin didn’t respond for over half an hour and then finally replied, “9 AM.”

faggie didn’t reply.
That evening, Isabella called.
Maggie answered the call, and Isabella immediately asked, “Mom, why haven’t you come back yet?”
Dad said you’d be back to go to the parent–child event tomorrow, but it’s already past 9 PM, and you’re still not home…”
Maggie reassured her, “Mom won’t be going back there. I’ll go straight to your school tomorrow.”
Isabella didn’t expect that:–“Oh…”

Maggie said, “You should rest early.”
“I will,” Isabella replied.
After hanging up, Maggie contacted Johnny to inform him she’d be a little late for work the next day.
The following Monday morning, she arrived at Isabella’s school right on time.
“Mom!”
When Isabella saw her, she waved excitedly from beside Franklin.
Maggie walked over, and Franklin greeted her, “You’re here?”
Thinking back to his earlier threat, Maggie didn’t respond and instead opened Isabella’s tablet to check the event schedule.
After a while, she and Franklin sat down in their seats.
Teacher, spotting her arrival, seemed genuinely happy and came over to greet her, “Miss Miller, you’re here?”
“Mm,” Maggie smiled warmly at her.
Isabella came over and handed a flower crown to Franklin, asking him to place it on Maggie’s head.
Maggie took the crown and said, “I can put it on myself.”
Franklin didn’t insist on helping her but instead handed her the crown.

With their striking looks, both Maggie and Franklin attracted the attention of almost all the other parents and children around them.
Tommy’s mother, who had heard from Tommy about Maggie’s marriage and daughter, now realized she was the same age as her own daughter.
Surprised by this, she walked up to them and asked, “Mag, this is… your husband?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
