Chapter 238
After Old Mrs. Wilson’s birthday, news quickly spread through the high society of the capital that Franklin had been married and already had a six–year–old daughter.
Julia had many admirers. Even though it was known that she was with Franklin, there were still many men who couldn’t let go of their feelings for her.
When they learned that Franklin was married and had a daughter, Julia’s secret admirers felt sorry for her and sympathized with her.
The day after Old Mrs. Wilson’s birthday, many of them showed up at Wilson Tech, trying to convince Julia to leave Franklin.
Mr. Zane and the others helped intervene, and eventually, they “rescued” Julia.
The news quickly spread within Wilson Tech.
Some employees couldn’t help but comment: “Even though we’ve already witnessed how popular Director Brown was during Valentine’s Day, I didn’t expect it to get this crazy.”
“Isn’t that the truth?”
Everyone knew that Julia and Franklin had a good relationship, but no one knew that Franklin was married and had a child.
Someone couldn’t resist gossiping: “Director Brown, did President Wilson really get married and have a daughter?”
Julia smiled and said, “Yes.”
Seeing that Julia didn’t seem to mind, someone asked, “Then you…”
Julia smiled and replied, “We get along really well. Isabella is very close to me. We have a great relationship.”
It was still work hours, so after a little gossip, everyone scattered.
Around 5 pm, Julia was still dealing with work.
At that moment, Isabella ran up to her: “Aunt Julie!”

Julia laughed and immediately pulled her into her arms: “Is Isabella here?”
Isabella said, “Yes!”
“Aunt Julie hasn’t finished her work yet. Isabella, can you sit here for a bit? Wait for me for ten minutes, and then we’ll go to Wilson Group to find your dad.”
Isabella obediently replied, “Okay!”
When Isabella rushed in, many employees wondered who her child was.
But once they saw this, everything was clear.
Moreover, Isabella looked so much like Franklin.
Earlier that morning, when Julia said that she got along well with Franklin’s daughter and that the little girl was very close to her, some people didn’t really believe it.
But now, seeing how happy Isabella was to see Julia, it was clear that their relationship was genuine.
At that point, everyone realized that Julia hadn’t exaggerated–she really did get along well with Franklin’s daughter.
Everyone always said being a stepmother was difficult, and while Julia and Franklin weren’t married yet, it seemed they were getting close.
Someone couldn’t help but praise Julia: “Director Brown, even a child is charmed by your presence. You’re truly amazing!”
Julia laughed and said, “It’s not as exaggerated as you say. Isabella has a great personality. We get along well because of our efforts; I can’t take all the credit.”
Everyone looked at Isabella and couldn’t help but praise her: “President Wilson’s daughter is really beautiful. She’s going to be a stunning beauty when she grows up.”
“Absolutely.”
As they discussed, they couldn’t shake the feeling that Isabella not only looked like Franklin but also seemed strangely familiar–like they had seen her somewhere before.
Moreover, they couldn’t help but wonder what kind of woman could have a child so beautiful with Franklin.

Curiosity aside, no one dared to ask too much.
About twenty minutes later, Julia finished her work and said to Isabella, “Isabella, Aunt Julie is done. Let’s go find your dad.”
Isabella happily put on her backpack, took Julia’s hand, and said, “Okay!”
Julia softly said, “Isabella, say goodbye to the other brothers and sisters.”
Isabella waved at the others and said, “Goodbye, big brothers and sisters!”
She was so adorable that everyone couldn’t help but respond, “Goodbye! Come visit us again sometime!”
“Okay!” Isabella happily replied.
As they left, Mr. Zane commented,
“It seems that after hearing about those eager admirers of Director Brown, and how they doubted her happiness with President Wilson, President Wilson immediately sent his daughter over to prove the rumors wrong. It’s clear that he really cares about Director Brown.”
“True, Director Brown is lucky,” someone else said.
Maggie, Johnny, and Mr. Kim from Wilson Tech had a group chat.
Today’s events were too explosive, and Mr. Kim couldn’t hold back his gossiping soul. He shared the news with them immediately.
Neither Maggie nor Johnny were really interested in how many admirers Julia had or how crazy they were about her.
In the afternoon, when Mr. Kim messaged them saying, “President Wilson’s daughter came to the company to find Director Brown.
Before, when Director Brown said she got along well with President. Wilson’s daughter, many of us didn’t believe it. But now that we’ve seen her, it’s clear that President Wilson’s daughter really likes her,” Maggie stopped typing.
It wasn’t because she was upset about Isabella being close to Julia.
She just suddenly realized that if news of how well Julia and Isabella were getting along spread, it might be difficult to hide things from her uncle and grandmother.

Although she had anticipated this moment would come eventually, still…
Johnny noticed her change in expression and quickly guessed what she was thinking.
He sneered and said, “The reason news of Isabella’s affection for Julia spread so quickly is because Franklin is influential. But what is Julia? She’s just a sidekick to Franklin.
Besides Wilson Tech’s employees and her admirers, who in the circle would care about her relationship with President Wilson’s daughter?”
At that moment, Johnny suddenly smiled.
“If people knew that you’re also the teacher’s student, and that our company’s CUAP and two recently developed projects were your doing, and if they found out that you’re actually Franklin’s daughter’s biological mother, that’s the kind of explosive gossip that could rock the whole circle.

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
