Chapter 265
Julia’s expression was calm as she replied, “I’ve already had a lawyer look over the contract that Wilson Tech and Cole signed when they first collaborated. It clearly states that if one party infringes on the other’s reputation, the injured party has the right to request contract termination.”
“B–But even if this incident did affect their reputation, the impact isn’t that big-”
Julia interjected, “It’s not big. Generally speaking, when something like this happens, we would just need to eliminate its effect on Cole, apologize to them, and compensate for their losses. But-”
Logan picked up, “If Julia had immediately apologized as soon as she learned what you said, even if Cole wanted to terminate the contract, they would have no reason to do so.”
“But after learning the facts, Julia didn’t immediately protect Cole or demand an apology from you. Instead, when Cole’s employees were defending their company, she criticized them harshly. This gives Johnny a reason to think we’ve gone too far and can no longer be trusted. If he insists on terminating the contract, then we have no grounds
to stop him.”
“In business, sometimes all it takes to achieve an objective is for the other party to find a small point of conflict and
blow it out of proportion. That’s enough.”
Sophia stuttered, “But after my cousin realized what happened, she apologized immediately.”
“They can argue that we only apologized after realizing the serious consequences of termination for us, not because we respected the facts and truly felt sorry.”
Sophia fell silent.
Logan asked again, “Is Johnny really not willing to back down?”
If they could persuade Maggie or Johnny, this matter could be resolved.
But since they couldn’t approach Maggie, what about Johnny?
Julia responded, “His attitude was quite firm when we spoke on the phone.”
In truth, everyone in the room understood that Johnny was insisting on termination because of Maggie.
If they could convince Johnny…
But how could they possibly persuade him?
They had no leverage to change his mind.

Maggie ignored her and turned to enter the elevator.
As soon as she stepped into the elevator, Glen arrived at the company as well.
He also saw Julia waiting downstairs.
He had already heard about what happened with Wilson Tech yesterday.
However, the news about Cole’s intention to terminate the contract hadn’t spread within the company, Only Maggie and Johnny knew about it, so Glen wasn’t aware that Cole was insisting on ending the contract.
When he saw Julia, he quickly turned his gaze away and made his way to the elevator. But as he passed her, Julia called out to him, “Glen.”
Glen paused and looked back at her. “Something wrong?”
“I came to talk to President Gray. Is he coming to Cole this morning?”
Glen replied, “President Gray is on a business trip. He won’t be at the company for the next few days.”
It turned out that Johnny was away on a business trip.
Julia nodded thoughtfully, but Glen spoke again, his tone cool: “Is there anything else?”

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
