Chapter 268
Chapter 268
After finishing the call with Isabella, Maggie hung up the phone. About ten minutes later, Franklin sent her the time and location for Isabella’s training the next day.
But it was only the time and address for the training. He didn’t say anything more.
The next day, just a few minutes after Maggie arrived at the fencing hall, Isabella showed up.
The car only had Isabella and the driver.
Franklin was not there.
After getting out of the car, Isabella happily took Maggie’s hand and led her into the fencing hall.
As soon as they entered, Johnny called her.
Maggie turned to Isabella and said, “Mom needs to take a call.”
Isabella replied, “Okay, I’ll go find my coach first.”
“Mm.”
Johnny just asked her a few things, and after chatting for a bit, he hung up the phone.
Isabella hadn’t gone far.
When she saw her coach, he smiled and greeted her, “Isabella, you’re here?”
Looking around, he then asked, “Did Miss Brown or Mr. Wilson not accompany you today?”
“No, today my mom came with me!” Isabella answered.
Maggie listened to their conversation, standing by the door. After a few seconds, she walked in.
When Isabella’s coach saw her, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. “Miss, you’re here to-”
“Mom!”
Isabella’s coach froze for a moment and then smiled, “Oh, so you’re Isabella’s mom?”
Maggie nodded and shook his hand.
Over the past six months, whenever Isabella came to the fencing hall for training, it was always Franklin or Julia, or sometimes both of them, who accompanied her.

Chapter 268
He knew Julia was Franklin’s girlfriend but was not Isabella’s mother.
Isabella always came for training with her father or her father’s girlfriend, but her biological mother had never appeared. At the time, he had assumed that Isabella’s mother must have either divorced Franklin or even passed
away.
Now that Maggie had appeared, it meant that Isabella’s mother was not dead.
In that case, Franklin and Maggie must have been divorced.
He wasn’t sure why they divorced, as he wasn’t involved in their personal matters.
But judging by the way Franklin, Julia, and Isabella interacted, Franklin seemed to have a good relationship with his current girlfriend, and Isabella was also very close to her.
He didn’t know if Isabella’s good relationship with Julia had been allowed by Maggie, so he didn’t bring them up. Instead, he complimented Isabella: “Isabella is very interested in fencing, and she has a natural talent for it, so she’s been doing great. There’s a good chance she’ll be in the top three in next month’s competition.”
Maggie nodded and was about to reply when Isabella came over, holding her hand and asking, “Mom, can you come with me to change clothes?”
Maggie nodded.
After Isabella changed into her fencing uniform, the training officially began.
Isabella’s coach, who was said to have been a fencing champion in a previous year, was skilled in both technique
and tactics.
But perhaps Isabella truly had enough talent, coupled with her boldness, as she showed no signs of timidity during the training. On the contrary, she was quick on her feet, daring in her attacks, swift in her defense, and reacted incredibly fast.
Between her attacks and defenses, there was already a touch of elegance and skill.
In a daze, Maggie felt like she could already see what Isabella would look like when she grew up and participated in competitions.
But by that time, she estimated she wouldn’t be by her side.
After about half an hour of training, Isabella ran over and grabbed her hand, looking up at her, waiting for praise. “Mom, did I do well?”
Maggie didn’t know much about fencing, and she wasn’t very familiar with the sport.
But last night, she had looked up some information online to get a basic understanding of fencing.
Chapter 268
She took the small towel Isabella handed her, wiping away her sweat, and sincerely praised her, “Very good”
She then turned to the coach walking towards them and said, “Thank you for your hard work.”
“It’s nothing,” Isabella’s coach replied, adding, “But it’s not all thanks to me that Isabella is doing so well. She had a good foundation before she came to our fencing hall.”
Both Franklin and Julia were good at fencing, and it was said that Isabella became interested in fencing because of
their influence.
For Isabella, they were her real fencing mentors.

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
