Chapter 271
Chapter 271
Last week, Johnny’s lawyer went to Wilson Tech to discuss the contract termination, but they failed to reach an agreement. On the same day, they filed a lawsuit with the court.
Last week, when Maggie and Julia had a dispute at Wilson Tech, Johnny was on a business trip in another province.
Perhaps because she hadn’t seen Johnny for a long time, Julia hadn’t given up yet. When Maggie went to work on Monday, she saw Julia again.
The two of them saw each other but still ignored one another.
When Maggie returned to the office, she found that Johnny had already arrived.
“So early?”
Johnny shrugged, “I was afraid of being blocked, so I purposely arrived half an hour earlier.”
Maggie smiled when she heard this.
Meanwhile, Rex arrived at Cole today to discuss business with Johnny. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Julia.
He had already heard about what happened between Cole and Wilson Tech last week, so as soon as he saw Julia, he immediately understood why she had arrived so early.
He walked over to Julia and asked with concern, “When did you arrive? Have you seen Mr. Gray yet?”
“I’ve been here for about half an hour. Mr. Gray probably hasn’t arrived at the company yet, so I haven’t seen him so far,” Julia replied. She then asked, “Mr. Hardin, have you come to discuss something with Mr. Gray?”
Rex replied, “Yes.”
He wasn’t sure if Johnny had arrived at the company yet, but upon hearing that she had been waiting for half an hour, he furrowed his brow. Before he could speak, Johnny’s secretary came out to greet him and his secretary, saying, “Mr. Hardin, please come inside.”
Rex stopped and asked, “Is Mr. Gray inside?”
Secretary Quinn smiled, “Yes.”
Rex looked at Julia.
Julia walked over and said to Secretary Quinn, “Secretary Quinn, I’m Brown, the head of Wilson Tech. I have something to discuss with Mr. Gray. Could you please—”

Chapter 271
“Sorry, Ms. Brown, but I don’t seem to have any appointment for you,” Secretary Quinn interrupted before Julia could finish speaking. She then turned to Rex, “Mr. Hardin, please come inside.”
Rex pursed his lips in displeasure and was about to speak when he heard Julia say, “I do have an urgent matter with Mr. Gray, I can wait here for him. I won’t take too much of his time–just ten minutes.”
Secretary Quinn smiled and nodded, then looked at Rex.
Rez, upon hearing this, didn’t say more. He nodded at Julia and followed her into Cole.
Secretary Quinn led them directly to Johnny’s office.
Once inside, however, Secretary Quinn didn’t mention Julia to Johnny at all.
Rex noticed this and furrowed his brows.
During their business conversation, Johnny was still polite to Rex. When Rex arrived, Johnny stood up and said, “Mr. Hardin, you’re here? Please, have a seat.”
Rex sat down. While Johnny instructed Secretary Quinn to bring them coffee, Rex spoke, “Ms. Brown from Wilson Tech has been waiting for you outside for quite some time, Mr. Gray. Why don’t you invite her in to sit for a while?”
Johnny smiled when he heard this, “Really? But I have already made arrangements for this matter. Mr. Hardin, how about we discuss our business first?”
Rex could tell that Johnny already knew that Julia had come to the company to see him, but it was clear that he didn’t intend to meet with her.
Rex furrowed his brows and said, “Mr. Gray, I’ve heard about this matter. Although Wilson Tech was at fault, it shouldn’t have reached the point of termination. Why make things difficult for Ms. Brown because of some personal grudge?”
Johnny laughed coldly when he heard this. He looked at Rex and said coldly, “Whether it’s time to terminate the contract or not, it’s up to me, the person involved. If I think termination is necessary, then I have my reasons. Mr. Hardin, I think this is a matter for my company, and it doesn’t concern you, does it?”
Rex already felt that this matter had arisen because Johnny had been influenced by Maggie’s whispers and had taken it out on Julia.

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
