Chapter 274
Chapter 274
Reed was unwilling to help, so Rex immediately decided to contact Nolan directly.
However…
He didn’t have Nolan’s contact information.
Rex texted Reed asking for it, and Reed replied with just two words: [No.]
Before Rex could react, Reed sent another message: “I’ve already made arrangements with Uncle Hardin. Stop wasting your time.”
Upon seeing this, Rex was genuinely angry.
Yet, when he tried calling again, Reed refused to pick up.
Since it seemed like neither Reed nor Jordan could be of any help…
Rex thought of Jimmy.
He remembered Jimmy mentioning that, at work, he had some interactions with Nolan.
Moreover, they had even had a meal together.
With that in mind, Rex decided to contact Jimmy immediately.
Jimmy didn’t return his call until evening. Upon learning that Rex was asking for Nolan’s contact info, he replied, “I don’t have Nolan’s contact.”
“Really? Didn’t you have a meal with my old man and the others before? Didn’t you exchange contact info at the time?”
Jimmy answered, “No.”
Rex didn’t quite believe it and couldn’t help but ask, “Are you sure? Or did my old man tell you something?”
“I’m sure,” Jimmy replied, unsure why Rex was asking this. “Though I had a meal with Nolan, we aren’t close, and I don’t think he sees me as anything more than a stranger. He’s not someone who takes care of juniors actively. He’s rather indifferent, actually.”
After hearing this, Rex believed Jimmy genuinely didn’t have Nolan’s contact.
Jimmy then asked, “Why do you want Nan’s contact?”
Chapter 274
“To discuss something with him.”
Rex’s words had hinted that he had asked Reed for Nolan’s contact before, but Reed refused, even blocking others from giving it to him.
Jimmy suddenly realized, “Is it because Miss Brown and Johnny had a falling out?”
Rex paused for a moment. “Was it that obvious?”
Jimmy remained silent.
Previously, Rex had mentioned that Maggie and Johnny might have a romantic relationship, and that Maggie targeted Julia because she was so outstanding, fearing that Johnny might be taken away by her.
Rex had also mentioned that Julia had met Nolan before and wanted to become his student, but Nolan turned her down because she wasn’t capable enough.

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
