Chapter 277
After Mr. and Mrs. Gray left, Franklin asked, “Have you finished talking to Mrs. Gray?”
Julia smiled and nodded, “Yes.”
From Mrs. Gray’s expression earlier, it was clear that she was growing more and more dissatisfied with Maggie.
Mrs. Gray had actually known about the situation between Wilson Tech and Cole for some time. Johnny had already given her a heads–up.
When Mrs. Gray spoke with Julia earlier, there hadn’t been a phone call. In fact, Mrs. Gray had recorded their conversation.
She had distanced herself a bit, glanced over at Franklin and Julia, and then sent the recording to Johnny.
Johnny and Maggie hadn’t finished work yet. After listening to the recording, Johnny smiled and went to Maggie’s office to tell her about it.
After hearing the details, Maggie said, “Now I’m almost certain–we’ve definitely won this lawsuit.”
“That’s right.”
Their insistence on suing for a contract termination wasn’t just about wanting to break the contract with Wilson Tech; it was also about pressuring Julia.
They wanted to force her into taking action to try to stop the termination. If Julia tried to approach the Miller family or his family to reach a settlement, she would inevitably be tricked into saying something or creating more conflicts.
In short, the more Julia tried to do, the more mistakes she would make. If she just stuck to expressing her apolog s or willingness to cooperate, then after the trial, they might not be able to terminate the contract Even if they did, the compensation would likely not be very high.
But now, things had changed.
The conflicts between them had already been caused by Julia, and now she was framing the termination as something Maggie had manipulated because of personal grudges.
It was important to remember that Maggie was not only a core technical staff member of Cole, but also the key person in charge of their cooperation with Wilson Tech.
Julia had not only disrespected the actual details of their cooperation but had also, in an attempt to avoid the termination, unfairly smeared the key technical personnel of their project.
This provided them with extremely favorable evidence for the case, making it impossible for them to continue

cooperating
Furthermore, Julia claimed that she and Maggie had personal grievances, which was why Maggie wanted them to
terminate the contract
However, when they reached court, if the judge asked about their personal ismes, want Julia worried that Maggie would openly reveal all of their past conflicts?
If it came to that, Julia would likely be more concerned about her com personal grievances with Maggie heing exposed than about the potential termination of the contract between Wilson Tech and Cole.
At that point, to avoid answering that question, julia might even be willing to directly agree to the termination and pay the exorbitant fees they were asking for.
Thinking of this, Johnny’s smile grew even brighter.
Just as Johany left Maggie’s office, Maggie’s phone rang
It was a call from Isabella.
Actually, Isabella had called her earlier that morning, but she hadn’t answered.
Tomorrow was the day of Isabella’s fencing competition. Isabella must have been calling to confirm whether she could accompany her to the event, right?
But then again, it wasn’t certain. Maybe she had changed her mind and didn’t want her to attend the competition. Perhaps she would prefer that Franklin and Julia go with her instead.
After all, such things had happened before.
With this thought in mind, Maggie still didn’t answer Isabella’s call
She set her phone aside and planned to finish the data processing before calling it a day.

The readers' comments on the novel: Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
