Chapter 48
Over at the side, after heating this, Jessica had more or less figured out the identities of Logan and his family.
“Ah, so they’re just a bunch of scumbags,” she muttered softly, then quickly paid and grabbed Maggie’s arm, heading for the
“Mag,” Logan called out, stopping them. He walked over and said,
gir aunt really cares about you. She’s always thinking about you. You and Julie are sisters, family. Like with this Cole siliation, your father hopes this kind of thing never happens again.”
Maggie laughed, her expression cold. “Are you trying to disgust me on purpose?”
“You-”
“Auntie, if she doesn’t want to, then she doesn’t want to. And even if she does, my sister still wouldn’t want to. What’s her
status? How could she possibly be sisters with my sister?”
She scoffed lightly and looked at Maggie.
“You target my sister and stop her from getting into Cole, but you don’t know this: the more you target my sister, the more her husband loves her. Just now, when her husband found out you and the boss at Cole were bullying my sister, he immediately
went to confront Cole.
Though it didn’t lead to anything, as compensation for what my sister went through, her husband handed us a
multi–billion–dollar project these past two days. And that project was something your brother–in-law has been begging for recently. Hahaha_”
Maggie bit her lip, her fist clenched.
Jessica was also furious, scoffing. “Has Julia married Franklin yet? You’re calling him brother–in–law‘ even though they’re not even married? How shameless!”
“Your
“Enough, Sophie,” Logan said, pulling Sophia back. He sighed, then turned to Maggie and said. “Mag. Julie is a genius in the Al field. She has important things to do at Cole. You should control your temper and stop targeting her.”
“Are you done talking?” Maggie looked at him, her eyes cold. “If you’re done, you can leave.”
Tracy, who had been silent until now, fanned the flames, “Mag, how can you speak to your father like this?”
Sophia echoed. “Exactly, you have no manners!”
Maggie replied coldly, “I have no manners? At least I don’t go around becoming a mistress.”
“Your”
“Enough.” Logan said, disappointed, seeing that Maggie wouldn’t listen. “Let’s go.”

Logan grabbed the custom gift and quickly left with Sophia and the others.
After they walked away. Jessica looked at Maggie with concern. “Mag..”
Maggie shook her head lightly and said: “Tm fine.”
Ever since Logan and her mother divorced, in her heart, he was no longer her father.
What really hurt her was that because of her, her uncle had been burdened even more. And it also hurt her because of
klin’s favoritism.
Every time she thought about how Franklin only cared about Julia, and how he had been ruthless toward Johnny and her uncle for Julia’s sake, without ever considering her feelings, it felt like a knife was twisting in her heart.
The pain was unbearable.
“Mag…”
Jessica hugged her with a sympathetic look on her face.
Maggie forced a smile but didn’t say anything.
It’s okay.
She had already decided to move on.
Just give her some time.
She could do it.
“Would you like to grab a drink?”
Jessica thought that Maggie needed to relax a little.
Maggie shook her head. “No need.”
Rather than drinking, she preferred to go home and research her data.
At home, she found it easier to calm down, relax, and regain her focus.
When Jessica heard this, she didn’t insist.
The two of them went to the parking lot, and just before getting in the car, Maggie’s phone rang.
It was a call from Isabella

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
