Logan continued, “As for Julie. Mr. Gray, you must already know that she’s very interested in CUAP, and she hopes to have the chance to work at Cole.
Although with Franklin’s arrangement, Julia would soon meet Nolan, and she wouldn’t lack opportunities to learn more about CUAP in the future.
But Cole’s development was so strong, and Johnny’s family background was so impressive. It would never hurt to build a good
lationship with him.
Who knows, they might have deeper cooperation with Cole in the future.
Johnny turned to Julia and said. “Thank you for the compliment, Miss Brown You’re indeed outstanding. I’d be very happy if you could join Cole. However, Mag is my friend…”
Julia wasn’t necessarily trying to work at Cole now.
She just didn’t want to make an enemy out of Johnny.
After all, they might be senior and junior colleagues in the future.
Having one more friend is better than having one more enemy.
Today, Johnny’s attitude was much better than it had been at the banquet.
asn’t sure if his change in attitude was sincere or just pretentious, but there was still plenty of time in the future.
They might not become good friends, but it was possible.
Julia said, “I understand, and I won’t push you. There’s no need to worry, Mr. Gray.”
Johnny smiled, “Thank you for your understanding, Miss Brown.”
From a distance, it looked like they were chatting happily.
When Maggie came out of the restroom, she stopped in her tracks.
Lauren noticed and smiled slightly.
Julia also saw Maggie, and with a neutral expression, she said to Johnny,
“We have some matters to attend to, so we’ll be leaving first. Let’s talk next time.”
Johnny shook their hands, “Alright, let’s talk next time.”
Julia didn’t glance at Maggie again and turned to leave with Logan and the others.

Chapter 62
Given Johnny’s status, as noon approached, several higwigs came over to invite him to lunch.
From what they said, Franklin would also be attending.
Franklin’s side had gathered many industry leaders, likely all heading to the same place for lunch.
The future trends of the Al field would largely depend on how these big players acted.
So, this was an excellent opportunity to understand the market’s future direction.
Besides, deepening relationships could lead to potential business cooperation after the meal.
Johnny was quite interested in going.
He glanced at Maggie..
Silently asking for her opinion.
Would she..
Maggie firmly said, “I’ll go.”
When they stepped outside, she and Franklin acted like strangers.
But that didn’t mean she had to avoid him.
The group of bigwigs walked over to Franklin with Maggie and Johnny following behind.
Franklin watched them approach with a calm expression.
But Julia furrowed her brow slightly.
However, she quickly relaxed and turned her gaze away indifferently.
Logan and Lauren also came over.
Seeing Maggie, their expressions were not very pleasant.
Someone who hadn’t yet greeted Johnny saw him and took the initiative to greet him.
When it came to Franklin, he also shook hands with Johnny, “Hello.”
“Hello,” Johnny smiled, “Mr. Wilson, I’ve heard a lot about you.”
“Mr. Gray
“Mr. Gray, you’re too kind.”
After exchanging pleasantries, Franklin and Julia were surrounded by people and headed to the parking lot.
Maggie and Johnny followed behind.
Logan and Lauren quietly made their way toward Maggie, trying to signal her to stay behind and not go with them.

But Maggie pretended not to see them.
Franklin and Julia got into the same car, while Maggie got into Johnny’s car.
Lauren frowned as she saw that she couldn’t stop Maggie and muttered. “This Maggie really ”
There were more than twenty people in their group.
The private room for the meal was very large, and everyone sat around a big round table.
Naturally, Franklin and Julia sat together.
Läuten had actually wanted to sit next to Maggie.
She was worried that during the meal, Maggie might say something inappropriate and wanted to keep an eye on her to prevent any trouble.
However, she was a step too slow, and the last seat next to Maggie was already taken by Johnny.

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
