Taking advantage of Director Quinn’s distraction, Johnny lowered his voice and whispered to her,
“After the charity gala debacle and the tech expo last week, the Brown family has established quite a network in the capital. I beard they’ve secured several projects in the past few days.
Once those projects are completed, the Brown family will be firmly established here in the capital.”
ey businessperson would dream of achieving such success, but with Franklin’s support, the Brown family managed to omplish it in just a few days. This had made a lot of people envious.
Maggie lowered her head and murmured. “Mm.”
After lunch they discussed for several more hours. By the end of the day, the two companies had made preliminary agreements on the collaboration.
Two days later, Maggie and Johnny went to Franklin’s tech company, Wilson Tech, to discuss the contract details.
Upon arriving at Wilson Tech, they were greeted by Director Quinn and one of the core executives, Mr. Kim. However, Mr. Kim arrived a bit late.
Once in the meeting room. Mr. Kim immediately apologized.
“I was just in a meeting upstairs with President Wilson, so I’m a bit late. My apologies.”
So. Franklin was a at Wilson Tech as well?
Maggie thought to herself as she and Johnny shook hands with him and said. “It’s no problem.”
After Mr. Kim arrived, they continued their discussion about the contract.
Not long after, someone knocked and entered the room. Maggie and Johnny didn’t pay much attention, thinking it was just ant ordinary employee from Wilson Tech.
But when Director Quinn and Mr. Kim saw t the newcomer, they immediately stood up to greet her, “Miss Brown.”
Maggiei froze.
Looking up, it was indeed Julia.
Johnny frowned.
Julia glanced at Maggie before turning to greet Director Quinn and Mr. Kim, saying, “I just came to take a look. Don’t mind me, continue with your work.”
Director Quinn and Mr. Kim immediately agreed, but didn’t hesitate to order their secretary to pour Julia some tea.
Their attitude was warm and respectful, clearly treating her as if she were the future matriarch of the company.

Julia also greeted Johnny, “President Gray”
Johnny nodded. “Miss Brown”
Julia accepted the tea poured by Mr. Kim’s secretary, then sat down in the chair they had specially moved for her.
After taking a sip, she set the cup down and noticed the contract on the table, She asked, “May I take a look
Mr. Kim smiled, “Of course.”
Seeing Maggie and Johnny glance over, Mr. Kim chuckled and explained, “Miss Brown is President Wilson’s girlfriend. When
ident Wilson is signing contracts, he never hides anything from Miss Brown.”
His implication was that Julia was considered one of their own, and they didn’t have to worry about any confidential information being leaked.
Johnny smiled, “With Mr. Kim’s word, we can rest assured.”
Maggie, however, kept her head lowered and didn’t speak.
In the study room of the villa, because it involved company secrets, he had never allowed her to step inside.
Since the first day she moved in, he had asked the housekeeper to specifically inform her of this rule. So, all these years, had never entered the villa’s stu
However, Julia not only had free access to browse through the confidential documents of Franklin’s companies, but she was also widely known within Wilson Tech
It was evident that their relationship had already become very close.
Julia knew that seeing her handle these documents would likely make both Johnny and Maggie worried about the potential
rmation leaks, and they would also be shocked by the depth of her relationship with Franklin.
Julia put down the file and looked at Maggie. Seeing her lower her head, seemingly not daring to look at her, Julia raised her teacup and smiled lightly. She sat there, ber demeanor resembling that of a supervising boss.
As Jin, the general manager, and the others were revising parts of the contract, Johnny suddenly asked, “Miss Brown, aren’t you planning to work at Wilson Tech?”
Julia put down her teacup, her gaze meeting his directly, and she replied. “Frank has asked me if I wanted to work at Wilson Tech, but I prefer to rely on my own abilities. I don’t want to use backdoor connections, so I turned him down.”

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
