"I love him."

"I know."

She pulled away from me and wiped her eyes clear.

"He loves me and he didn't mean to do it; it just happened. John, however, didn't and still doesn't see it the same way I do. When he found out he punched Anthony and gave him a bloody nose."

I could see why John disagrees with her but Anthony kinda deserved it for what he did.

"Why don't you go wash your face off while I order us some Chinese food," I told her trying to lighten the mood in the air.

She laughed, "Okay," she said walking into the bathroom and turning on the water.

I called the restaurant telling them our usual order and to deliver it to the pack house. Ash came out and sat on the couch flipping through the channels. I hung up the phone and sat next to her.

"They said it will be at least twenty minutes," I told her curling up next to her on the couch.

"Okay."

We waited up stair and were about to leave when we heard a knock at the door. Ash got it and in the doorway stood Grace holding a brown paper bag with red Chinese writing on it.

"Hey! The delivery guy said it was for you so I hope you don't mind I signed for it," She said looking a little nervous.

"Thanks Grace," Ash said smiling at her, "do you want to come in?" She said opening the door all the way.

"Sure," She said a smile forming on her face.

"Hey Grace."

"Hey," She said.

I walked up to her and grabbed the bag bringing it to the coffee table in front of the couch. Ash told her to make herself at home and Grace sat on the loveseat across from the couch.

"Grace, do you want to eat with us? I ordered enough for an army," I asked her laughing.

She chuckled and nodded her head, "Sure."

I took out all of the little white travel containers and chopsticks. Grace began opening the boxes and Ash brought so plates and soda cans over. I got up to throw the bag out when I noticed Grace's signature on the receipts.

"Grace?"

"Yeah"

"What does the 'S' stand for in your name?" I asked.

"Tell me the truth Sarah," I said.

"My name is Grace," She said shaking her head.

"According to the pack's records you are not. Now, tell me the truth."

Her breathing was rapid and her body was sharking.

"I didn't want this. She said he wouldn't find me."

"Who?"

"Your mother," she said looking into my eyes, "When I was little I got my mate earlier than most girls. I found my mate at the age of eight and at seven my mark was already visible. When I told my parents who my mate was they panicked and did everything possible so that Charlie wouldn't find out," She stopped for am minute to take a breath and then continued, "My mom confided in your mom and she suggested having people call me by my middle name, Grace."

She looked at me with sad eyes and continued, "We started doing that and no one seemed to notice and after awhile I legally changed my name to Grace. I swear I thought those records were destroyed."

"How did Charlie find out?"

"He overheard my mother's conversation with your mother and got angry. Now, this was after Sally died and he was in a dark place. When he confronted my parents about it they panicked and told him he wasn't able to see me, or be near me. Charlie threatened them and they packed up everything and we ran. Do you know what it is like to know that your parents hate your mate?"

I stood there disappointed in myself and shook my head.
