Tommy just nodded his head and said, "I am glad to hear."

After that they all turned back to the game. I got up from the chair I was sitting in and headed back to the kitchen.

Around six o'clock Ruby said we could make our way to the dining room. The dining room was a tan colored walls decorated with pictures of wolves. I the center of the room was a long dining table that could seat fifty people. Jackie goes over the top with decorations, there was a big cornucopia in the middle of the table and down the center of the table were autumn colored leaves.

"There are seating cards at each place setting so find your name." Jackie said taking her seat next to Tommy, who sat at the head of the table. I went up one side of the table

'Zach'

'Ruby'

I couldn't help but laugh. It is going to be a very interesting meal.

'Anna'

'Mark'

'TJ'

'Chris'

"Morgan, you're sitting next to me," John said waving the table card at me.

Great, I wonder who made the seating arrangements. Cause I will kill them.

As I took my seat next to John, Jackie and Tommy smiled at me with approval. A part of me was telling me to be happy that you are sitting next to him and another part of me is telling me that you are not his, Kalee is.

Once everyone was seated, Tommy took his knife and tapped it against his glass trying to get everyone's attention.

"I would like to thank my wife and Ruby for preparing this wonderful meal."

"Ahem," Ash said clearing her throat. Translation, what about me? I helped too.

"And my daughter Ashling and Morgan's help as well," He said smiling at his daughter, she smile back, "I would also like to thank Morgan and Ruben for being with us tonight. We have missed having you with us," He said smiling at me and my farther. Thanksgiving and Christmas were my mother's favorite holidays. She loved coming to the pack house and celebrating with everyone.

"I also want to take this time to say that this may be my last Thanksgiving as the Alpha of this pack as in the next year I am hoping that my son will take over the pack soon," He said eyeing the area where I was sitting.

Damn it! He just ruined a perfectly good moment. Why does he keep doing this to me putting me on the spot? He is really pushing it. You know. It isn't going to make telling John any easier.

John luckily felt the same way. He tensed when he heard his father's word and Jackie looked up at him in disapproval.

"Now let's eat!" Tommy said taking the knife and started to carve the Turkey. Dinner went well everyone like the food and enjoyed being together. After dessert I decided to take a walk. I needed to get some air. To clear my head a little bit.

I walked outside to the garden. It was big and mystical. I remember when me and Ash were younger we would pretend to be fairies flying around, and we would end up getting lost having to have our dads come and save us. I smiled at the memory. I walked down a row of red roses and turned to see a beautiful fountain. This was my favorite part of the garden mostly because my mother would take me here and sing to me. I sometime feel like she is still here. I didn't know when I started to sing but I realized I was singing the lullaby my mom use to sing to me when I was little, All through the Night.

Sleep my child and peace attend thee,

All through the night.

All through the night.

When I finished the song I realized that I had let tears escape my eye.

"I miss you mom." I said to myself.

"I miss her too." I turned around to see my dad standing there.

"She use to sing that to you every night to put you asleep," He said smiling coming to sit next to me.

"I miss her dad," I said rapping my arms around him and letting myself cry.

"I know, baby. I know," He said rubbing my back trying to comfort me. He hasn't called me baby in so long. I missed hearing him call me that.

He pulled me away and looked me in the eye.

"She would be so proud of you," He said.

"Dad-"

"I know you get it a lot but it is true. She would have loved to see you grow up," He said smiling at me, I smiling back. We sat there in a comfortable silence, looking up at the stars. After a little while dad broke the silence.

"We should go to bed."
