It wouldn't be such a coincidence, would it? Noelle was probably thinking too much. After all, the black market was huge. There was no way the task she accepted was to work for the Liddell Corporation.

Noelle glanced at her phone. A notification popped up, informing her that she had received two million in her bank account.

Leaning back in her chair, she pushed the bin toward Donovan and said, "Take it."

She would not pick it up. If they wanted it, they would work for it.

Donovan frowned. "Noelle, are you asking me to fish it out from the bin?"

"Duh. I'm not going to do that. Whoever needs it will pick it up."

"What kind of attitude are you giving me? I spent two million on this."

Noelle's glare turned icy. "You could choose not to take it and I'll refund your payment!"

"You!"

Donovan was livid. He hadn't expected Noelle to be so unshakeable. Frank walked over and picked the disk drive out the bin.

James felt bad and tried to stop him. "Mr. Liddell, let me do it."

"No worries. It isn't that dirty."

Frank picked it up and wiped it down with a tissue. Then, he turned to Noelle. He knew she still cared about the Liddell family. If not, she would not have saved the data. Although they paid her two million for it, she deserved it.

He asked, "Noelle, I heard that you're getting along well with Alfred. But, do you know who he is?"

Noelle didn't like how Frank was looking at her. She scrunched up her eyebrows and replied, "I just found out. This is our business. It has nothing to do with you."

Donovan couldn't bite back his retort. "Noelle, you're the heiress of the Liddell family and grew up surrounded by riches. How dare you become someone's mistress? What would our parents in heaven think of you?"
