Noelle watched Xenia while smirking internally. Was she eyeing Magnus as her next target?

Noelle kept her distance. "I don't know you well."

The expression on Xenia's face froze. She looked devastated. "Noelle, we grew up together in the Liddell family. Even though I was adopted, I treated you as a sister despite your dislike for me."

Noelle grimaced. She was starting up again. How annoying. It was always this tactic.

After putting on her pitiful act, she turned to Magnus and said, "Mr. Greene, my apologies for subjecting you to that. Noelle has always thought I'd take her brothers away from her, but that's not what I'm trying to do at all."

He raised an eyebrow and remarked, "Since Noelle doesn't like you, you should take the hint and not appear before her."

Noelle had made it clear she didn't like Xenia. So, he wouldn't like her as well.

She stiffened, not expecting Magnus to say so. Didn't men adore girls who seemed to be timid? Why weren't her methods working on Magnus?

Noelle looked at her with a smirk. “Did you think everyone would be as dumb as the idiots in the Liddell family for you to run circles around them?"

The smile on her face nearly fell. However, she had to keep up her reputation before Magnus.

She simpered, "Noelle, Frank is in the ICU. Lucas has been taken away and detained for questioning. Their team is on the brink of getting dissolved, and they even have to pay up for the breach of contract. Aren't you concerned about your family members at all?"

She wanted to wreck Noelle's reputation before Magnus. There was no way she would allow Noelle to do better than her.

Chuckling, she replied, "I've broken ties with the Liddell family a long time ago."

"Noelle, how long are you going to hold his grudge for? Frank slit his wrists for you. Doesn't your conscience hurt?"
