Of the Webfic stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 402. Let's read the author's No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) Webfic story right here.
This was why the Liddells hadn't told Noelle the truth back then. Noelle frowned. "I'm an adult, and I'm not a child anymore. I have the right to know the truth."
"Fine. Blake told you there was someone else in the car, right? Based on our findings, the person in the car was either rich or powerful. It must've been someone from a renowned family in Yasnia."
"Did you not find out who it was?"
Frank shook his head. "No. That road was newly built, and the surveillance cameras weren't operational yet. Plus, it was at night, so the person in the car must've escaped under the cover of the dark."
"But if they were just a passenger, they weren't the ones driving, right?" The driver would've been the one running the red light.
Frank nodded. "That's true, but the fact that they ran away makes me suspect they were the ones behind the wheel. Why else would they flee?"
Noelle agreed that made sense. Why else would they run unless they had something to hide?
She frowned. "But I can't remember anything from that night, and I don't even know if the driver was the culprit. Are you disappointed in me?"
It'd been her birthday, and their parents had forgotten to buy her a cake. She'd thrown a tantrum about wanting cake, so her parents had taken the newly built road to save time, and that was when the accident happened.
"That's right. We are." Donovan strode in, followed by Blake and Lucas.
Frank's expression changed drastically. "Donovan, why are you here?"
"It's a good thing I came, or I wouldn't have known Noelle had the audacity to ask that."
Donovan turned to glare coldly at Noelle. "Just because Blake let something slip, you think finding the culprit will redeem you? Does that bring our parents back?"
Noelle's eyes were instantly red. Frank stepped in front of her. "That's harsh, Donovan. She was just a child; how is it her fault?"
"That's right. Noelle may be a little rebellious now, but she'll understand with some proper teachings." Blake tried to smooth things over. One way or another, they could tame her.
Donovan snorted. "There's nothing I can do about that. She's grown wings now, hasn't she?" His tone was laced with sarcasm.
