Over the years, Noelle had learned one undeniable truth—to show kindness to the Liddells was to be cruel to herself.

Standing alone in the office, Blake furiously kicked the table. "You're forcing my hand, Noelle! I'm not gonna give you a way out, either!"

In the hall, Noelle was busy practicing PK-ranked matches with her team members, so she didn't notice when Blake left. After training, she received a text from Cedric.

"I'm at the school gate. Come out when you're done."

A sudden wave of nervousness hit her. She grabbed her bag and walked to the school gate, where she spotted Cedric's car parked by the roadside.

She subconsciously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and got into the car.

"Here. Take this." Cedric handed her a bouquet of fresh flowers, which completely surprised her.

She took them over. "Thank you."

"Why are you so surprised?"

Noelle glanced at the flowers in her arms. "It just feels unreal. You don't seem like the type to give flowers."

"Anyone can give flowers… That is unless they pretend they don't know how to."

As Cedric drove, he asked, "Did Blake's fans bother you?"

"Yeah. They're mostly trying to guilt-trip me and tried every trick, but I won't give in."

At least not now. If Blake still couldn't take down Xenia, Noelle might have to return to the Liddells and slowly expose the latter's facade for who she truly was.

She continued, "Aren't they always talking about how family bonds are stronger than anything? I'd love to see if they'll sacrifice for each other or turn on one another the moment their interests are threatened."

Upon seeing that Noelle's mood wasn't affected, Cedric felt a little more at ease.

Then, Noelle suddenly asked, "Oh, right. Magnus went viral today. Did you see it?"
