Cedric frowned slightly and glanced at his assistant.

Noelle turned around. "Is someone calling you?"

"You heard wrong." Cedric shifted his position to block Noelle's view while Laura was surrounded by bodyguards and swiftly taken away.

Soon, the helicopter lifted off. Laura could only watch as Cedric left with another lady. Anger drove her to the verge of tears.

She'd seen Cedric act gently around the lady, and she'd never witnessed this side of him. That thought sent jealousy surging through her heart.

Ever since she was a child, her only wish had been to marry Cedric, be his wife, and give birth to two children. And now, Noelle's sudden appearance ruined everything. She'd never let Cedric go.

Her assistant approached. "I took a picture of the lady just now, Ms. Merlock, but it isn't very clear."

Laura glanced at the picture and immediately recognized who it was. She'd seen Noelle at the hospital, but after Alfred denied everything, she'd foolishly trusted him.

Damn it. They'd lied to her.

Laura fumed. "Find out every single detail about her, no matter what it takes!"

The assistant replied, "There's no need to investigate. She's Noelle Liddell, the one who's been targeting Samantha at school and stirring up quite a storm on the Internet lately."

"That's her?" A glint of amusement flashed in Laura's eyes. It seemed fate had handed her a perfect opportunity.

If Emma found out what kind of person Noelle was, she'd definitely object to the relationship. She pulled out her phone and dialed Emma's number.

"Are you free this afternoon for some tea, Mrs. Greene? There's something I've been thinking over, and I feel I should tell you about it."

She had to make sure both Emma and Anastasia knew who Noelle really was. That would prove that she is the only one worthy of Cedric.
