I look over and Ian is still standing there watching me, the redhead tugging on him trying to get him to dance with her. I was so tempted to tell him yeah, especially since I just told Ian no but I didn't want to bail on Jess and I didn't even know the guy. "I would but I promised my friend I-"
"Don't worry about me." Jess says. "You guys go ahead. I can find a ride."
I'm going to kill her. Ian's mouth is open like he can't believe she just said that either, especially after she didn't offer when I turned him down.
"Ian, come on." The girl whined. "I want to dance."
I was so tempted to leave with him and show Ian I don't care about his little friend but I just couldn't do it. I knew Owen was probably only asking because he wanted to get laid and I'm not that girl. "Sorry, I can't bail on my friend. Maybe some other time. " Ian looked relieved at this but I didn't want to read too much into it.
"That's cool. You're a good friend. I'm sure I'll see you around campus." Owen looked a little disappointed and I'm sure he is, he's not used to hearing no.
"Yeah, definitely." I give Ian one last glance before I grab Jess's hand. "Let's go get drunk." I say loudly enough for Ian to hear me. I pull Jess through the crowd leaving Ian standing there staring after me.
Owen didn't talk to me for the rest of the party and neither did Ian, that was the first party in a long time that I didn't leave with Ian. I thought maybe he was mad at me for dancing with Owen but when I woke up this morning he'd text me asking me to come over so he must not be too mad about it. I opened the door and walked in and heard Aaron tell Ian, "Man, you're such a pussy. Just tell her."
"Tell me what?" I ask shutting the door behind me. My heart is pounding out of my chest. Does he not want to see me anymore? Is that why he wanted me to come over today?
"Not you." Ian tells me. "You look beautiful. Hung over? I didn't even know you could drink like that." He gives me a little lopsided smile.
"I can drink." I tell him but really I can't. I don't even like the way beer tastes but last night I was so upset over seeing Ian with another girl that I didn't care how crappy the beer was. I wasn't much of a designated driver but luckily Emma drove us home. How did he even know I was drinking so much? Had he been watching me?
"What have you been up to today?" He asks me.
I walk over and sit on his lap. "Nothing, just hanging with the girls. What about you?"
"Nothing." He runs his fingers through my hair, making me tingle all over. "So you not hang out with Jacobs this morning?"
I shook my head. Why is he bringing up Owen? "No. Why would I?"
He shrugs. "You two looked pretty cozy last night."
I laugh at that. "You're one to talk, you and your redhead seemed to be having fun."
"She's not my redhead, I told you I don't even know her. She's just some random girl that
came up talking to me."
"She knew your name." I pointed out and she was way too cozy with him for some girl who just met him.
"Did it make you hard? That's all you've talked about." Ian looks at me. "I think he's got a thing for Jacobs."
"I do, I wished he'd grind on me like that. He made your girl come twice just by grinding against her." Aaron shoots back.
Ian glares at him and that's when I step in. "Okay, you two are disgusting." I tell them. "No one came, Owen and I were just dancing."
"I did." Aaron laughed. "More than once."
I cover my face laughing. If I'd known they were going to talk about Owen and me I wouldn't even came over here. Just then Nick comes out wearing nothing but a towel and when he sees me he starts dirty dancing. I roll my eyes, feeling my face get hot with embarrassment. He turns his butt toward us and starts shaking it. "Wanna dance, Kamdyn?" He asks me coming toward me.
I laugh. "No thanks."
"You sure?"
"Yep."
Aaron starts playing music on his phone and Nick starts dancing to the beat all dirty like he's trying to dance like me. He pushes back his hair before bending over and rubbing his butt up and down like he's grinding on his invisible dance partner. We're all laughing so hard we're crying. Then he turns toward us and his towel drops to the floor giving us all a look at his junk making us laugh that much harder. "Oops. Sorry, Owen, just something about you makes my pants drop." He says in a high pitched voice that's supposed to be me.
"Oh whatever! You guys are all crazy." I say in between laughter. It looks like they all had fun watching me dance last night, so much for Ian being jealous.
