Nathalie's eyes turned icy cold, her once gentle face twisted with anger. "He killed my Nathan. How could I ever make peace with him? I just want to get close enough to take him down."

Her fist clenched tightly.

Lizzy exhaled slowly, already formulating a plan. "Sis, the New York Commerce Association's hosting an industry mixer, and the heirs from the top four families are invited. I can snag you a ticket, give you a chance to meet Cameron."

Nathalie's initial impulse was to storm into his place, fury blazing like a woman scorned. But then she thought better of it. Being the heiress of Stewart Enterprises, if she was going to engage in business, it should be on his turf. Outdoing him in his own arena would be his most humiliating defeat.

Anything to make him squirm seemed worth it to Nathalie.

"Alright." Nathalie nodded in agreement.

Lizzy looked hesitant. "But sis, the event requires everyone to bring a dance partner."

Nathalie was caught off guard. A dance partner? She didn’t have one.

Nathalie looked Lizzy up and down before giving her shoulder a reassuring pat. "You'll be my dance partner."

Lizzy burst into laughter. "Sis, you're supposed to bring a guy."

Nathalie shot back, "You're nearly six feet tall, you've been training for ages, and you're strong. Plus, I feel comfortable and safe with you."

Seeing Nathalie's earnest look, Lizzy made up her mind. "If you're counting on me, then I'm in."

But who would have thought that by Saturday night, Lizzy would pull a disappearing act? When she returned, the elegant lady in a dress had transformed into a short-haired, incredibly dashing figure in a tux.

Cameron made his entrance with his wife, Greta.

Once inside, he joined Benjamin, Jaime, and Ashley, where they exchanged toasts and light-hearted chatter.

"Ashley, how's business going?" Cameron asked, his main concern being the Stewart family's internal wager between the main and second branches.

Ashley sighed, looking weary. "Don't even get me started. You big shots are all playing it safe, and the smaller partners are too scared to sign with us. We've burned through almost a month of the wager period without landing a single contract."

Cameron reassured, "Don't worry. As long as the big players hold off, the second branch can't gain traction with just small businesses."

Ashley lamented, "Cameron, if you all just watch from the sidelines, we're bound to lose. Have you thought about how Nathalie, who can't stand you, will come for you first once she's got the power?"
